How do you kick an on side kick in the new formation? It would never work imho.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 11:18 pmThe odds of recovering an onside kick have not been reduced with the new rules.
For a surprise onside kick yes, but not one that everyone knows you are kicking.

The onside kick is set up like the normal kick off set up
So there is no surprise

If Cory Trice hadn’t made that play this would be shaping up as a scary game.

This will probably be the high water of the season:
2-0.
Some *albeit* tepid faith in Fields maybe being something.
The D flying around against an injured statute and a helpless rookie.
Soak it in fellas.
THESE ARE THE DAYS!

The Broderick Jones series absolutely re-shaped this game.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 11:25 pmI will drink some beer and celebrate.

We were up and driving to absolutely ass rape Denver.
Fields with the throw of the day in the NFL.
Everything changed after that series.
Play calling, penalties, Fields' demeanor.
Fuck Broderick Jones.

And also if Payton hadn’t completely screwed the pooch with time management at the end of the game, the broncos could have gotten the ball down 7 with about a minute left.

I sure wish we scored more TD's like Lamar and Burrow.

It is still the old formation is my understanding. I was hoping to have it confirmed with an onside kick.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 11:20 pmHow do you kick an on side kick in the new formation? Yes. You can’t onside kick until the 4th quarter, and obviously, you have to declare that you are going to do it.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 11:29 pmIt is still the old formation is my understanding. As a result the return team can have all 11 players in the recovery zone so almost no chance of getting one unless it ricochets or is dropped.onside kicks are only allowed in the fourth quarter of games and if the team doing it is losing. The losing team additionally must declare it is attempting the onside kick, thus eliminating the surprise factor prior to the rule change

KC this is all normal shit the last 5 years. Why deflect blame from the QB. It doesn’t matter. Nothing will move towards excellence until a new head coach.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 11:27 pmThe Broderick Jones series absolutely re-shaped this game.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 11:25 pmI will drink some beer and celebrate.

Fuck Broderick Jones.
If not penalties, then an injury, then drops, then poor route running, then poor QB play…it is just chuck-a-luck for the excuse as to why the offense always underwhelms!
