Tomlin has an amazing 6th sense of situational awareness

Not calling TO to set up a 4th down call is what separates him from the rest of the league’s coaches

Needed to take the last TO before the 4th down play instead of rushing things. If Fields did realize it , Tomlin should have called it from the sidelines.

Once again Tomlin left one in the bag at the end of the game.
Unless the sideline felt the offense had an advantage over the defense by not letting it reset.

Rookie or not, Frazier should get next week off.

Her personally lost that game.
Let’s see, the QB has a history of doing that very thing, with his prior team and current team

Bit blame the center, when they are on silent count

I like when Fields ran backwards 20 yards and fumbled. Sign him up for $35 million/year. But let's blame Frazier for the loss, why the hell not?

Back-up level QB making back-up level things happen. He's better than Pickett, but people need to get a grip.

This is when the Tomlinoids break out the R word to defend his stupidity.
"We, as an offensive collective were off today, and certainly, he's a component of that,"

Stupid Najee does not run out of bounds to stop the clock. I hope he's gone next year. Call timeout on the 4th to setup a good play.
That was a bullshit call, in his defense. He ran out of bounds. Would they have stopped forward progress if he was still moving forward? Well how the hell can you stop horizontal progress on RB when the goal is to get out of bounds!

The last series after the 1st down conversion was the epitome of a Tomlin trap game. Sloppy play by the OL to cause the fumble followed by lack of awareness by Harris to get out of bounds while coming to a complete stop in the field of play and getting tackled in bounds, followed by the bonehead move to not take a timeout by Tomlin to settle down his guys and make sure a good play is called versus a hari kari scramble to the LOS.

until the steelers’ offense main focus is NOT wasting time for 4/5s of the game

fugged about it

they showed that they can gain and score / if they are willing to throw ball downfield, stop pounding slow najee and let fields run some …

but the chance of that happening is Zero. we will see much more of this and we will be 9-8

He sure did....after he was fucked by his center and RB.

Put in a position where he couldn't win it.

I get the Najee play was dumbfuck with the clock situation, but Pickens literally took seven off the board in the 1H when you were down 17 and absolutely couldn't afford any more mistakes.

One silver lining is they might actually take the training wheels off of Fields after this one. But there's still a lot of stupid on this team to coach out. We're on top of the division, and the season is young, but that was a completely avoidable loss.

Oh the training wheels off of Fields for sure, but I'd put them on Zach "Mason Cole" Frazier.

Played like shit in the first half. But let's ignore that and blame the loss on the rookie center for a QB who makes routine snaps an adventure.

I’m not going to take the word of the player, being a good teammate, when we have a player who has a history of doing the exact same thing with 3 or 4 different centers

Maybe, just maybe it’s that guy.

You can keep blaming him for years if you want—either Fields or the guard called for the snap. It’s a blind play for Frazier and he is dependent on the communication between the other two guys.

Kind of reminds you of the clusterfuck at the end of Super Bowl 45. First tell the returner to CALL A FUCKING FAIR CATCH” to save time. Instead they waste 10 seconds and commit a penalty. Tomlin is a fucking dunce.

100% on center! The guard was still looking back at Fields so he could tap Frazier in the hip.

I mean, also consider that the Steelers offense made a crappy Indy defense look like the 2008 Steelers. That was a team they probably should have cut through all day long.
