Steelers Colts Gameday Bedwetting Thread

Tomlin has an amazing 6th sense of situational awareness
Not calling TO to set up a 4th down call is what separates him from the rest of the league’s coaches

Unless the sideline felt the offense had an advantage over the defense by not letting it reset.Stillerz Bar wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:12 pmNeeded to take the last TO before the 4th down play instead of rushing things. If Fields did realize it , Tomlin should have called it from the sidelines.
Once again Tomlin left one in the bag at the end of the game.
Frazier channeling his inner Mason Cole.

I like when Fields ran backwards 20 yards and fumbled. Sign him up for $35 million/year. But let's blame Frazier for the loss, why the hell not?
Back-up level QB making back-up level things happen. He's better than Pickett, but people need to get a grip.
This is when the Tomlinoids break out the R word to defend his stupidity.
"We, as an offensive collective were off today, and certainly, he's a component of that,"
It’s silent countK_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:12 pmLiterally only someone with a severe mental defect would blame that snap on Fields.
Seriously.
Get the help of a mental health professional.
Fields has done that exact same thing, about 10 times in his career
He has a habit of not paying attention to the fucking center
Keep blaming the other guy
Of the QB pulls out too fast. That’s on him.
Of the QB is t paying attention on silent count. That’s on him.
When the QB in question has well over a dozen fumbled snaps, who tf do you think the issue is with ???
How'd Fields do after that fumble?W&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:16 pmI like when Fields ran backwards 20 yards and fumbled. Sign him up for $35 million/year. But let's blame Frazier for the loss, why the hell not?

That was a bullshit call, in his defense. He ran out of bounds. Would they have stopped forward progress if he was still moving forward? Well how the hell can you stop horizontal progress on RB when the goal is to get out of bounds!gojira5150 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:12 pmStupid Najee does not run out of bounds to stop the clock. I hope he's gone next year. Call timeout on the 4th to setup a good play.

Tomlin is the worst in game coach in the nfl. By far. He proved it again today. Prove me wrong.

Wanna bet that going to be on the center or guard?
$100?

The last series after the 1st down conversion was the epitome of a Tomlin trap game. Sloppy play by the OL to cause the fumble followed by lack of awareness by Harris to get out of bounds while coming to a complete stop in the field of play and getting tackled in bounds, followed by the bonehead move to not take a timeout by Tomlin to settle down his guys and make sure a good play is called versus a hari kari scramble to the LOS.

until the steelers’ offense main focus is NOT wasting time for 4/5s of the game
fugged about it
they showed that they can gain and score / if they are willing to throw ball downfield, stop pounding slow najee and let fields run some …
but the chance of that happening is Zero. we will see much more of this and we will be 9-8

Put in a position where he couldn't win it.

I get the Najee play was dumbfuck with the clock situation, but Pickens literally took seven off the board in the 1H when you were down 17 and absolutely couldn't afford any more mistakes.
One silver lining is they might actually take the training wheels off of Fields after this one. But there's still a lot of stupid on this team to coach out. We're on top of the division, and the season is young, but that was a completely avoidable loss.

Oh the training wheels off of Fields for sure, but I'd put them on Zach "Mason Cole" Frazier.drmalba wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:19 pmI get the Najee play was dumbfuck with the clock situation, but Pickens literally took seven off the board in the 1H when you were down 17 and absolutely couldn't afford any more mistakes.

What truly fucked us was a coaching staff that won't open up the offense until we are down multiple scores and leave no margin for error. We also had a defense that was overrated and shit the bed today.
T. Austin constantly had ZERO answer to WRs being isolated on LBs.

Played like shit in the first half. But let's ignore that and blame the loss on the rookie center for a QB who makes routine snaps an adventure.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:19 pmHe sure did....after he was fucked by his center and RB.

I’m not going to take the word of the player, being a good teammate, when we have a player who has a history of doing the exact same thing with 3 or 4 different centers
Maybe, just maybe it’s that guy.
Critical thinking helps

You can keep blaming him for years if you want—either Fields or the guard called for the snap. It’s a blind play for Frazier and he is dependent on the communication between the other two guys.

Kind of reminds you of the clusterfuck at the end of Super Bowl 45. First tell the returner to CALL A FUCKING FAIR CATCH” to save time. Instead they waste 10 seconds and commit a penalty. Tomlin is a fucking dunce.stillcajun wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:18 pmThe last series after the 1st down conversion was the epitome of a Tomlin trap game. 100% on center! The guard was still looking back at Fields so he could tap Frazier in the hip.anpsteel wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:16 pmIt’s silent count

He didn’t literally take seven off. You are making that assumption.drmalba wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:19 pmI get the Najee play was dumbfuck with the clock situation, but Pickens literally took seven off the board in the 1H when you were down 17 and absolutely couldn't afford any more mistakes.

the training wheels are not off fields
they aren’t training wheels they are locked brakes.

I mean, also consider that the Steelers offense made a crappy Indy defense look like the 2008 Steelers. That was a team they probably should have cut through all day long.franco32 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:20 pmWhat truly fucked us was a coaching staff that won't open up the offense until we are down multiple scores and leave no margin for error.
