This is how you lose to a 2-5 team.
“Thoughts are a waste of time for me.” - Michael Pettaway Tomlin
I think it was the right strat. Don't use any clock and get it at the 30, have a chance to run a couple of plays for 25+ yards for a possible FG.
*roots for losses*
Giants are a competitive group. And not executing in the redzone is just football.
This is how Tomlin wants things. This is not a QB driven team.

Broderick obviously is killing drives on one end. Not much else you can say.
The D is obviously being outcoached right now. Giants are well prepared. Screens, quick throws, and then they've beat us twice badly when we had single high safety.

Good to see Russ playing well though. That's a great sign for us going forward. But obviously we have to fix RT issue. Might have to trade for an OT at this point LOL

Pittsburgh won XLIII with Willie Colon, so there is precedent for overcoming a malefactor at RT.

Do we franchise Dan Moore?
A year ago that would have been a ridiculous idea.
Now? Not so much.

I am not blaming this on Tomlin.
Fucking bizarro game.
Jones’ hand slips off a shoulder pad and hooks a facemask.
Jefferson can’t sit.
Pickens jumps too high and can’t physically get 2 feet down.
I am going to guess Russ refocuses this team and we get some real TDs in the second half.

Colon is 10x Broderick right now. Not even close and Colon was not good.Burgh Nike wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:45 amPittsburgh won XLIII with Willie Colon, so there is precedent for overcoming a malefactor at RT.
No worries.
Defense will pitch a shutout in the 2nd half.

Allowable bedwetting scenarios:
Tie game in the 4th against a mediocre, at best 2-5 Giants team
Until then keep the faith

We went through this a few years ago on an AB almost catch when he hopped 2x on the same foot and it was ruled incomplete.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:14 amHow the fuck is two hops not two feet! Fucking stupid rules!
Willie colon fought with those stubby little arms of his. Broderick Jones should be throwing dudes around like sasquatch but instead folds like a lawn chair.Burgh Nike wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:45 amPittsburgh won XLIII with Willie Colon, so there is precedent for overcoming a malefactor at RT.
If he had 1/10 of the Colon's attitude we would have ourselves a player
Colon was bad but it at least looked like he'd played football before. Jones is totally lost.franco32 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:46 amColon is 10x Broderick right now. Have to believe the Steelers defense comes up with a play on MNF if the game is close late.
Highsmith should be killing Hubbard. Not sure what is going on there.
Because not closing it out in the redzone is a new issue for Tomlin coached teams. Not a reoccuring pattern for years. There certainly isn't a lack of detail, particularly on the offensive side of the ball, that kills in critical situations.

I just see them getting the ball out super fast. Only two plays they’ve hit deep it looked like max protect

Hubbard hasn't been stopping him, but the G men are scheming around it. D needs some significant adjustments at the half..
Giving up 183 yards in a half to Daniel Jones is embarrassing.
Gotta stop them with no points to start the 2nd half.

Maybe, but the whole point of starting Russ over Fields was so we didn't have to need the D to do this, because the O would hold it's own. Like mentioned earlier, hopefully they've survived the bizarro world shit of the 1st half, and Russ leads them to at least two real 2nd half TDs.

My only guess is that it would open a can of worms of unintended consequences. WRs could do a quick double tap maybe....stillthere wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:46 amWe went through this a few years ago on an AB almost catch when he hopped 2x on the same foot and it was ruled incomplete.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:14 amHow the fuck is two hops not two feet! Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

Why are we playing our free safety twenty five yards deep
