Jeanty getting compared to Sanders was laughable.
I watched one college game of Barry Sanders just by luck back in the 15 channel days. OKU versus OKSU and you immediately knew you were watching a freak man among boys. Watched 15 minutes of that game and you knew he was number one pick in the NFL. Tried to tune in after anytime I could, but OKSU games didn’t make many trips to western Pennsylvania broadcasting.
I have only watched one Boise game and didn’t see anything that reminded me of Barry Sanders other than the stats which had big asterisks.
I have watched maybe 3 games of Skattebo and he reminds me of Barry Sanders way more than Jeanty with his balance and ripping off long runs.
But he doesn’t have Sander’s speed and that is why he is not hyped. Sanders was sub 4.3 and benched 225 lbs 27 times.
Skattebo’s hype or lack of hype is directly proportional to his 40 yard time and the diminished role RBs play in NFL schemes.
Skattebo probably compares a great deal to Bettis height , weight and speed. Would Bettis be a first round pick in these times? I am not so sure.
Skattebo as Najee Replacement?

Steelers fans talking about beautiful and glorious draft picks reminds me of those Saudi women in burqas shopping for lingerie at Harrod's or Bloomingdale's.

Short, stout, VIOLENT
Bull in a China shop
Skattebo even rocked a Mohawk as a kid
Did he also have an afro?

Was about to agree with ya on Kaytron Allen, then I read this. Willie Parker is again on line two, bud.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 8:34 pmNone of those would succeed as SteelersOrangesteel wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 8:27 pmThis team isn’t a Skattebo away from being dangerous.
That’s a no from me dawg. We need to stop drafting guys because they “look” like Steelers.
Give me a guy that “looks” like Gibbs, Mixon or Bucky Irving. You know, RBs that actually score?!?!?!

Mixon did his thing for years in the North, and Gibbs has done his thing against, well, everyone in the NFL for the last two years, and everyone in the SEC prior, so... both at least good enough to beat out Najee and/or Warren.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 4:51 pm![]()

Unless you mean that if you're not Mike Tomlin's adopted son you can't start in Pittsburgh, then I agree with you just like on Allen.
Also far from sold on Scattebo as a pro, but he's been fun to watch occasionally in the PAC/Big 12.

The only RB Sanders should be compared to is Gale Sayers.
Who never made it to a playoff game BTW.
