But, I mean, the commentators in this game are openly criticizing the effort of individual players in a playoff game against our biggest rival on national TV in prime time.
It’s similar to people paying for billboards about Nutting.
If the product on the field and the national scrutiny that entails doesn’t do it, nothing else is going to either.

I think they understand they are a Joke.
Why I use the phrase ‘Taking the Steelers to their Superbowl’ when there’s an eminent bowel movement on the horizon.
We all saw this being the result. Moving on.

Went to the Baylor game back in November. Pulled into Morgantown and saw at least 2 Fire Neal Brown billboards.
Something like that hits harder I think than calling Steelers front office

I agree. Start a collection and let’s buy billboards. Only problem is they are like $10,000 a month in the city area.rooneytunes wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 4:22 amMy daughter goes to WVU

Yeah some Fire Tomlin billboards around the north side would do more than me emailing the front office.

75 people 133.34 a month
100, 100 bucks each
Sounds reasonable and would get press

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Please start by calling and emailing the team relentlessly. I’ll look into billboards on Monday.
I look forward to the hit piece on ESPN on out of control deranged fans who dared to harass the Steelers into firing Mike Tomlin.

Sometimes ideas such as these have the opposite effect of their intent
Instead of caving to public pressure, owners dig in.
Old man Mara didn’t fire his coach and GM after Giants fans rented planes carrying banners over MetLife voicing their displeasure
I think Deuce is cut from the same cloth
Guy doesn’t even leave his house enough to notice a billboard.
I share in y’all’s frustration.
I’ve long wanted Tomlin and Art II vanquished but I think this is going to continue to be an exercise in patience (extreme)
Find something else to enjoy on the weekends until the tide turns.

Have to act as customers. The younger rooneys which I linked story here for works at a bank yesterday shows who’s in the wings. There has to be hard conversations today in the Rooney clan.Steeldrama wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 2:22 pmSometimes ideas such as these have the opposite effect of their intent

I still can't get over the sheer improbability of being dominated in 6 straight playoff losses as badly as they have. Not close. Not competitive. And BAL for 2.5 quarters until easing off the gas is the most dominating I've ever seen in an NFL game, because they were just running it down our throat. And when Lamar had to pass, he was 10/11 early.
Historically awful and embarassing. No other coach would survive that. No other owner would tolerate it. But Tomlin has plot armor like the lead character in a bad horror movie.
Too bad that performance yesterday won't be Tomlin's swan song. But maybe he gets even more humiliated next year.

Someone needs to sneak in a giant banner to hang from the stands. Right behind the goal posts so that it makes tv coverage.Steeler_Fanatic wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 4:30 amYeah some Fire Tomlin billboards around the north side would do more than me emailing the front office.
And that banner needs to list all the humiliating statistics of domination in those last 6 playoff losses.
The billboard could highlight 3 playoff wins in the last 15 years, and list all the coaches who won more playoff games in a shorter timeframe who got fired. Would have to be a REALLY big billboard...

I think it's a waste cuz art II isn't gonna give a fuck about the billboard contrasted with getting crushed nationally and pockets locally for firing the demi-god Mike Tomlin. But the pub could be fun...so count me in if you get close. Lol

That is one silver lining.
If this game would have been home, same result and Tomlin would have been booed out of the stadium. Guaranteed.
Tomlin would just think the boos were meant for the players, or possibly Arthur Smith and Austin.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 5:27 pmIf this game would have been home, same result and Tomlin would have been booed out of the stadium. Guaranteed.
