SF Board Draft 2025 Announcement

Well, kids... it's almost that time. Since we have so little else to look forward to right now, at least we'll have our whatever-year-in-a-raow-annual Board draft, now starting in less than a month.

In recent years, we've scheduled the start of our draft to coincide with the end of Free Agency weekend. The NFL schedule this year (with our schedule in Blue/Bold is:

NFL Combine
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27 (DL, LB)
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28 1 (DB, TE)
SATURDAY, MARCH 1 (RB, QB, WO)
SUNDAY, MARCH 2 (OL)

Pro days
MONDAY, MARCH 4 - EARLY APRIL

Pre-FA legal tampering period
MONDAY, MARCH 10 at noon ET - 4 p.m. ET on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12

NFL FA Begins
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12

SF Board Draft
SUNDAY, MARCH 16 (Soft start with no clock)
MONDAY, MARCH 17 (On the clock from 9am Eastern)
Finishes approximately MONDAY, MARCH 31.

SF Draft-A-Team
Approximately 48-72 hours after SF Board Draft ends, no later than SUNDAY, APRIL 8.

Actual NFL Draft
THURSDAY< APRIL 24 to SATURDAY, APRIL 26, 2025

SF Board Draft Participants. Mainly, I need to know 3 things first:
1. Anyone who participated last year but doesn't want to participate this year
2. Anyone who didn't participate last year but wants to participate this year.
3. Anyone who wants to switch to a different team from the one they had last year

DRAFT-A-TEAM is still a ways out but early commitments will get a reserved spot. there will be a limit, most likely 21 entrants... so get your spot when you're ready.

Yes. That second draft has never really worked out. Draft-A-Team has really been the only thing that's stuck.

I learned about something new today: Shadow Teams.

Basically, it's dynasty Draft-A-Team.

50-man roster (have to leave room for specialists that we didn't draft... yet.)
16-man practice squad
one international pathway player.

I took a composite of the 5 teams I've drafted in draft-a-team and made this my 2024 Shadow Team (Yellow indicates practice squad, blue are cuts, red is the international pathways player):
