They need to give up on that white out bullshit.
It's like going to a Vegas Craps table and having Rosie O'Donnell blow on your dice for good luck.
Superstitions only make sense if there is some mythical correlation to winning.

I can see why people liked him before, and I can also see why people don’t like him now. Hard no.
Your next Steeler QB.

As the self-proclaimed long-term Drew Allar expert, my opinion remains unchanged. Welcome aboard to all the new members.

So there was a correlation to winning.

While I agree, it didn't help that Oregon dominated the trenches last night.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 12:31 pmAs the self-proclaimed long-term Drew Allar expert, my opinion remains unchanged. Welcome aboard to all the new members.
But Allar needed to step up this year to change my mind, and he hasn't so far.

As a matter of fact, I'd love to put Grunk in and see what he can do.
Because it's now looking like Penn State let the wrong QB leave via the portal.

Allar doesn’t have it between the ears. He’s going to be a 3rd or 4th round pick based solely on his physical tools. If the Steelers draft him in the 1st the franchise will be set back another decade.
Yup with him it's all about slow processing of what he sees.TimmayLake wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 4:19 pmAllar doesn’t have it between the ears. There were guys open last night if he makes a quick decision and let's it rip.
But he can't process so he doesn't trust.

This plus he panics whenever there's a lick of pressure. He doesn't move well inside the pocket. He can run on designed QB runs but he lacks pocket awareness and evasiveness.jeemie wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 5:09 pmYup with him it's all about slow processing of what he sees.TimmayLake wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 4:19 pmAllar doesn’t have it between the ears. "So there was a correlation to winning."
Not in big games that count, like OSU.
Nothing intimidating about 100000 plus wearing the color of surrender.
Raiders fans in the 1970s, now that's somewhat scary.

But did you see him run that Penn St offense with all the handoffs and short passes. Tonmlin has a chubby watching that action.TimmayLake wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 4:19 pmAllar doesn’t have it between the ears. They win three quarters of their games without the stupid whiteout so no value added WAR.
Unless its against Michigan and OSU when they lose 85 pct.
The Tomlin of Toftrees strikes again.

Last night if Tomlin was watching the first half he had multiple orgasms.jebrick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 6:17 pmBut did you see him run that Penn St offense with all the handoffs and short passes. Almost the entire first half was run on first down then run on second, and no quick down field passing.
This despite Oregon with 8 in the box to contain the run and the short passes.

I'll preface this by saying I don't watch much college football, and this was probably the second full game I've ever seen him play.jeemie wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 7:05 pmLast night if Tomlin was watching the first half he had multiple orgasms.jebrick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 6:17 pmBut did you see him run that Penn St offense with all the handoffs and short passes. But that said, I wonder how much PSU's OC actually trusts him to throw. I'm not sure Allar trusts /himself/ to throw. There were many times yesterday when he looked like he should have had the ball out of his hands, and he instead pulled it down to run. And if he doesn't trust himself, then an OC sure as hell isn't going to trust him.

With their record against good teams like OSU and Michigan, PSU ought to be focused on recruiting and execution rather than fine tuning fan superstitions.

My complainant for Allar last season is that when the game is on his shoulders, it seems too big for him. He does not have IT. I do not think it is something that can be taught.Louis Lipps Service wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 7:14 pmI'll preface this by saying I don't watch much college football, and this was probably the second full game I've ever seen him play.

How Fraud Franklin has Tomlin-esque job security is beyond my limited comprehension skills
Big Game James at Penn State:
• 1-15 vs. top 5 opponents
• 4-21 vs. top 10 opponents
• 15-30 vs. top 25 opponents
• 4-17 vs. Michigan and Ohio State
Meanwhile super fun Penn State transfer qb Beau Pribula has upstart Mizzou undefeated

Yeah, bad news definitely got worse in Happy Valley this afternoon. Outplayed, and outcoached by an interim head coach and a sophomore sports medicine major looking OC. Not a good look for Franklin.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
Franklin is the Tomlin of college football
Sucks ass.
Sucks ass.
Just means the Steelers will need less draft capitol in trading up in the 1st for him /s

They both have their job security for the same reason.

I've always said that Franklin is more Tomlin than Tomlin...less full of shit in his pressers, but at least in regular season, Tomlin DOES win some big ones. Franklins record in big games is abysmalCoolShades wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 3:15 pmSteeldrama wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 8:44 pmHow Fraud Franklin has Tomlin-esque job security is beyond my limited comprehension skills

But he brought in shedloads of money and Penn State is quite happy with 10 wins and a bowl game because that's what brings in the shedloads of money.

Do colleges typically sign their head football coaches to 10 year contracts or is this a just a Penn State fuck up?
