Paul Skenes most dominant Bucs starter ever

Post by MJG75 » Thu Sep 25, 2025 2:20 pm

The most dominant Pirates player I have seen in decades and THE most dominant starter I have ever seen play for the Bucs. Finished his final appearance last night with a typical Skenes performance: 6 IP, 4 H 7 K 0 R. For the season, 1.97 ERA, .095 WHIP, 216 K, .199 BA against. Get some offense, Nutting and we will go far! Let's go Bucs!!

He’s a generational talent. He has the power of Nolan Ryan and the craftiness of Greg Maddux. Amazingly, the Pirates are going to squander it.

Who was the best ever Pirate pitcher before him? Babe Adams?

Pirates have ZERO pitchers in the HOF.

Best of my lifetime have probably been Friend, Candelaria, Drabek and maybe Cole.
