I mean, it was Green's worst game in 3 years. So, if you're only going by today... not draftable other than as a lottery pick. But I would neither judge him on his worst day nor his best day. Reality is somewhere in between and there have been a lot more great days than crappy ones.
Dante Moore is the guy who has it man. Completely unfazed by game pressure nor pass rush pressure. Incredible how poised for as little as he's played in CFB.

• “I’m Ty Simpson. Who the hell are you?”
• Cash Jones? CASH JONES?????! Kick the fucking field goal Kirby ya barrel of monkey nuts!
• Arian Smith pulled a Chad Powers tonight with drops returning to haunt Athens, GA.
• 1-7 vs Bama. You’ve earned it Kirby DUMB. Time to clean house. Can’t win a Natty without HIGH QUALITY assistants.
• 5-21 vs Top Ten teams. Big Game James strikes again.
• Donte Moore>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Drew Allar
• NBC has some serious audio issues. Started with their Ryder Cup coverage on USA and continued tonight muting what LOOKED like a raucous white out crowd.
• Notre Dame’s running back duo of Love and Price a notch above Penn State’s Singleton and Allen (BUT the Hogs SUCK).
• Coach Key, ya stole one today.
• Easy peazy LEMON squeezy. USC WR has some hands. Glad the Illini bounced back though after their HOOSIER ass whoopin. What was Mendoza's line today? I don't subscribe to Peacock.
• Pitt is Shit. Is Art II the Pitt President? Fire Narduzzi already.
• For whom the bell tolls indeed. Louisville WR Chris Bell filled up the stat sheet erasing a 17-0 deficit at an empty Heinz Field.
• WVU is MAJOR shit (and they beat Pitt lol). Whoever the booster is that demanded Rich Rod needs his couch burned.
• North Gwinnett’s Kayden McDonald notched two sacks for the Buckeyes today. Nice kid.
• Caleb Downs gets the headlines, but STUD LB Arvell Reese is the best defensive player on that team.
• “Bo Knows” Not sure Brian Hartline knows, but he’s sure got some horses. Should the Buckeyes repeat, Lamar “Bo” Jackson will be a big reason why. Dig him
• Trinidad Chambliss the next Cam Ward? Ferris State?? Kid is a wicked fun football player.
• Brian Kelly losing made my day. Franklin losing made my night.
• Ahhh Laura Rutledge.
• Speaking of making my night. Nothing like the scenic setting of Boulder, Colorado to calm down from a stressful night of football. Thank you ESPN.
• Soooo much fun today, will have to retrain my eyes to watch the Arthur Smith experience in like 9 hours. Brian Flores going to school that tool. Goooo DUBLIN!

Nick Markakis on Astros: "Every guy over there needs a beating."
I just look at how his passes look. He is the same as last year and then compare him to Carr and tell me who you would want on the Steelers. You can get a chubby over athletic QBs but if you can't pass the ball you will most likely not make it in the NFL.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 3:52 amI mean, it was Green's worst game in 3 years. For the record I’m interested in him as a passer who can run, not because he’s so athletic. That doesn’t seduce me.jebrick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 11:38 amI just look at how his passes look. I mean he lit up Mississippi last week, who then shut down one of the best passers in CFB. Sometimes the matchup matters.
But how can you not be impressed with Dante Moore? Dude has got it, especially under pressure.

Taylen Green's accuracy is that of a young Ray Charles. Huge project in my opinion.
I'm not looking at stats. i'm just watching if the player can make throws on target and on time. Putting the ball into tight windows is a bonus. Green still needs work on his throwing mechanics which is why I would do a lottery pick on him but day 3. I do have him higher ranked than Allarbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 8:34 pmFor the record I’m interested in him as a passer who can run, not because he’s so athletic. I'm impressed with Moore and Simpson( bama). Someone will roll the dice on Sellars. Mateer is Baker Mayfield so if you like Mayfield then Mateer is your man. I have not decided on him yet.

Yeah, it's going to take wayy more to get Carson Beck to be a draftable prospect, let alone 1st rounder. He absolutely melted under pressure, like every time. Just because he's had a big OL advantage so far this year doesn't mean he won't revert to being the guy we saw the last time he faced pressure.jebrick wrote: ↑Mon Sep 29, 2025 12:45 pmI'm not looking at stats. i'm just watching if the player can make throws on target and on time. But how can you not be impressed with Dante Moore? Dude has got it, especially under pressure.I would not mind if the Steelers picked up someone like Beck in the teens and then Green on day 3 in 2026. I just think Green is boom/bust with a low floor as a passer.

I should have said, a later QB plus Green. I'm not sold on Beck.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Sep 29, 2025 5:45 pmYeah, it's going to take wayy more to get Carson Beck to be a draftable prospect, let alone 1st rounder. Right now my top 5
Mendoza
Sellars
Mateer
Moore
Nussmeier - May not be a 1st round QB at this point. Simpson might go here.

Bama's Ty Simpson bided his time behind Jalen Milroe.
Not the same athlete, but this former 5 star has above average athleticism and a plus arm.
What I DIDN'T know until Saturday night inside raucous Samford Stadium was that Simpson has "IT."
ESPN did a nice job showing Simpson's pregame speech and his constant pumping up his 'mates on both sides of the ball.
Leadership
Intangibles
Ryan Williams flat out DROPPED a DIME that would've blown the doors off Georgia MUCH sooner
Still, Georgia shut down the Bama offense in the 2nd half when Kirby appeared to take over defensive play calling in the 2nd half not leaving crappy ass DC Glenn Schumann's side
1st round?
Let's see how the rest of the season plays out but early returns are very promising.
ROLL TIDE
Fuck You, Kirby

Garrett Nussmeier
John Mateer
Sam Leavitt
Berhen Morton
Trinidad Chambliss
Jayden Ikaika Maiava

Chambliss will be a player that RPO teams should roll the dice with. Need to see more but man he looked good in one start vs a tough defense.

I think Sellers could work in the NFL if he gets to the right team with a good OC and weapons around him. Obviously, the Steelers aren't the right team for any QB right now. I hope they use those picks are reload the roster next year. Save QB for another year.jebrick wrote: ↑Tue Sep 30, 2025 5:26 pmgave up on Sellers?Taylen Green

If they either ditch Tomlin or give him one of those mandates where he is forced into being a CEO and letting real coordinators run the units, then several of those guys would be worth drafting.Steelperch wrote: ↑Wed Oct 01, 2025 11:37 pmI think Sellers could work in the NFL if he gets to the right team with a good OC and weapons around him. With Tomlin I would say you either need a physical outlier like LJ8/Josh Allen or a clutch gamer who can pull horseshoes/rabbits out of asses (Mahomes/Ben).
Outlier types in the class:
Green
Leavitt
Payton
Magician types:
Moore
Mateer
Sellers
Chambliss
Small-ball, NHALS & out guys:
Allar
Beck
Klubnik
Remains to be seen guys:
Mendoza
Simpson
If you're simply going to do the same aimless small ball shit under Tomlin and get the same postseason results, then it's not worth drafting in the first. Take a couple of swings after Round 1.
Which is why Allar is already filled on on the draft card

with the 270th pick of the CFL draft, the Toronto Argonauts choose Drew Allar

Is this this the beginning of the end for Franklin?
Not being able to get his team motivated to beat an 0-4 team with an interim HC on the road coming off that Oregon loss is crazy pills.stairway 2 seven wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 10:33 pmIs this this the beginning of the end for Franklin?
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
