Two bright spots: Wilson and Washington

The defense sucks, yes. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Wilson and Washington. Both made some big plays in the passing game, kudos to them.

Roman Wilson can be a damn good #2 or #3 receiver in this offense.

He's tough as fuck, blazing fast and will catch anything near him. He's also a willing blocker.

It pisses me off that Broderick's holding penalty negated a nice first down catch for Wilson.

You can tell his confidence is improving every game and he got A LOT of snaps last night.

CAIII should be back next week so I imagine Roman's snaps could go down some, but he can fucking play.

Washington is a monster, both as a run blocker and a receiver.

He's getting opportunities and producing when he does.

Freiermuth was absolutely fantastic last night.

I feel so bad for guys like Freiermuth, Rodgers, Warren and Metcalf.

The offense more than held up their end of the bargain. The defense was an embarrassment.

The one good play Wilson had in the passing game was pretty much how he won while at Michigan: motioned in from wide to the slot, got a running start before ball snapped, made play in the middle of the field.

As I said at the time he was drafted, the problem is the steelers:

1. use motion as little as any NFL team
2. rarely target the middle of the field
3. use 3 WRs sets the least amount of time of any team in the league.

Hell, we were in hurry up last night with 2 WRs & 2 TE. I have never in my entire life seem that in the NFL of the last 40 years.

I think Wilson would be pretty good in a different offense.

Steelers WR's got sent to the shed when they hired Artie...I'm sure Roman would be thriving on almost any other team.

I was talking bout this last night while watching. When we go multiple receivers it’s nothing more than splitting slow TEs out wide.

Retarded offense along with a do what we do week n and week out defense.

Lazy coaches. Lazy owner.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 81 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

we all knew at the beginning of the year what they would so on offense with the personnel they have
try to limit turnovers, pass within 2 seconds, pass as extension of run, no middle if the field, occasional deep throw
its about to get more conservative

not sure why this would shock anyone
did you really think they were going to change when the pressure comes

It's just one big run on every down game with the occasional deep sideline shot... until they get pressed by trailing by enough or running out of time.

Last night probably isn’t the night to bitch about the offense. All the receivers showed up and Warren was superb.

Like @bradshaw2ben I was surprised to see Freiermuth split wide in the 2 minute drill and that may not work against all teams (few rush the passer worse than the Bengals) but this offense just keeps getting better.

Austin will be back next week and I like our receiving corps. I like it a lot. The o-line is improving and Warren has become one of the best RB’s in the league.

Arthur Smith is really mixing shit up (he called a flea flicker for Christ’s sake) and I think our offense is going to keep us in games against good teams going forward, provided Rodgers stays healthy.

Our problems now are almost entirely on the defense but to be fair, Chase and Higgins are arguably (if not certainly) the best receiving duo in the league.

I’m sure the rest of this season will go how it usually does. We’ll beat a few teams we aren’t supposed to beat and we’ll lose to some teams we’re supposed to handle.

That’s Cool Shades football but this offense is a lot of fun to watch.

I’m actually tired of the revolving door at WR2. How the fuck can a QB feel confident looking that way when it’s a different guy every other play?

You drafted Wilson in the 3rd round. Your depth behind CAIII is JAG city. Wilson missed his rookie season due to injury.

He’s healthy and ready to contribute. Stop this revolving door giving three guys snaps who combined aren’t doing shit.

Let the kid get some swagger time.

He made some plays yesterday. Let’s see more of it.

Guess our train still moving a bit too fast.
