week 9

Post by jebrick » Sun Oct 26, 2025 12:09 am

K. I will take Sellers if he falls. He should be top 10 but stranger things have happened.
Can we get Nyck Harbor to go with Sellers?

Mendoza is so boring. That is the knock i hear on him from other draft-niks.
Iamaleava is trying to be a QB but just no anticipation and meh accuracy. Stay in school.
Simpson looks fine but there is something I do not trust in a Bama QB.

Trinidad Chambliss. King of the 'short' QBs I would take a shot at him on day 3

Nuss must be fighting an injury. Has no zip on his balls but still very accurate.

Add Marcel Reed to the QBs for the 2027 draft. Very impressive in a gimmicky offense.

• WTF?!?! Who the hell is Dirks Bentley and why is he on my screen instead of Duck’s wife?! Guess they’re not Comin’ to my City this week. Sigh.

• “Tell Drama he’s on my to do list right after inserting needles in my cock,.” No sign of Bily Napier on the set of Game Day telling his tale of woe. Must not be a client of super-agent Jimmy Sexton.

• “Lighten up, Francis.” I’m old. I’m white. I’m a teacher. McAfee can hate me all he wants. I still like him. Accepting constructive criticism is tough for many of our young students.

• “You got a Bad Beats shirt on and you’re makin picks?!” My now weekly reminder Stanford Steve and his 12-12 record needs to find a new line of work.

• “Harvard of the South.” I’ve said it many times, if you’ve got kids starting out in life send ‘em to Nashville. Such a fun, vibrant town. SEC overkill at it again. Game Day should’ve been at the Dakota marker game. (FCS title game played in Nashville. Irony in there somewhere).

• Nick Saban, the KING of college football indeed.

• Jen Latta got less than 2 minutes of airtime. What are we doing? More Latta, Jess Simms, and Marty Smith. (Good segment with my guy Pavia).

• “Not a lot of people betting on 2% chances unless you’re Chauncey Billips at a Chauncey Billips poker game.” Classic lol.

• 38 teams with either 1 or 2 losses with just 6 weeks left in the season? Expanding to a 12 team playoff was a GREAT idea.

• “The Big Ten runs college football.” There’s shock value then there’s shit off stupid. Don’t be such a homer Des.

• Cannibalism-can be defined as eating the flesh of ones own species as a means of survival. THAT is life in the SEC. Going into today’s games as many as 10…that’s TEN teams…had a chance at the FBS playoffs.

• Fox BIG Noon games rarely feel very BIG. Fox might want to change the name to BIG Nap game or ask the BIG Ten for a BIG refund.

• Nico back to being Nico, but that Hoosier defense is tough. Aiden Fisher an NFL linebacker.

• “Keep your shirt on” Y’all do it a little different up in Indiana.

• Dig me some Lane Kiffin, but dude WTF? Putting in a beyond rusty Austin Simmons for two throws inside the 5 was a gawd awful coaching decision.

• Trinidad Hubbard is such a fun player. What could Lane do with 5 star stud DJ Lagway?

• Oklahoma in the SEC still doesn’t feel right, but a trip to Norman is definitely on lengthy college football bucket list. GREAT atmosphere….

• ….That said, Somebody PLEASE teach the OU band a new song (or whatever that cringey series of sounds is) when their defense is on the field. Beyond annoying, brain piercing noise. “Mute button, Drama, ya dumbass.”

• John Mateer is either hurt or just very comfortable throwing off platform with some very odd arm angles. Hopefully, he stays in school (and far, far away from Mike Tomlin).

• The bulk of downtown Atlanta is ghetto, but the Flats is a cool spot for college ball. Haynes “Homecoming” King and the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets rolling through the minor leagues, but they’re a tough bunch that won’t go quietly should they make the playoffs.

• The arrogance and hyperbole of Louis Riddick kept me away from most of the slugfest Vandy/Mizzou game, but with Vandy ranked its highest since 1947??? How is Clark Lea not at the top of the list for EVERY coaching vacancy?

• I like Joel Klatt. I get it if you don’t.

• Champion is now sold at Target? Just no.

• Fran Brown ain’t HIM. I’d gladly welcome him back at Georgia to fix the broken secondary, however.

• (Much) more Laura Rutledge and (MUCH) less Jordan Rodgers. The remote control is the greatest invention EVER.

• Kay Adams to Fox to replace Curt Menefee and Laura Rutledge to replace Greeny for well…EVERYTHING.

• Someone needs to find Pablo Torre a significant other or buy him a cat. Dude has way too much time on his hands. Everyone with a working brain already knows Mike Lombardi is full of shit. Get a life dude.

• Not a good half of offense, Alabama. Nick Saban won 6 Natties there RUNNING the football.

• …And Ryan Williams drops another one. Drops an epidemic in college ball. Must be all that screen time ruining their eyes or something.

• Damn South Carolina! Could you put your stands a little closer to the endzone? Glad Ryan Williams walked away from that wall shot.

• Stay in school, Ty Simpson (and far, far, away from Mike Tomlin).

• Lanorris Sellers is Houdini. Stay in school (and far, far away from Mike Tomlin).

• My weekly Joe Tessitore is so damn dumb rant. “WHAT BALANCE! WHAT BODY CONTROL FROM THE SWISS ARMY KNIFE OF THIS OFFENSE!” “Do you hear what I’m saying??? If he just goes down or out of bounds the game is over…” Jesse Palmer’s had enough of that clown too.

• “Not that’s there’s anything wrong with that.” You know your wife still makes you watch Grey’s Anatomy. No judegement, but I don’t need my football focus distracted by women making out. Even my non football focused teenage daughter was all “WHAT was THAT?”

• Since the dawn of dinosaurs, there’s been horny cameramen at the ready finding those hot, distraught college coeds after their team loses in last minute fashion. Yeah Des, the BIG TEN rules college football, alright. NOT.

• Gonzalez, Gates, Graham…and Trey Dez Green. Never covered indeed, Kirk.

• Those cowbells in StarkVegas are very Jethro, but I get it.

• “I got a bird. His name is Ronnie.” “Well tell Ronnie you got knocked the fuck out!” Arch might be overhyped, but showed some serious toughness right up to his game ending concussion.

• Speaking of Jimmy Sexton, Sark coaching like he wants a buyout, not an NFL gig.

• Holy Shit Cassius Howell! LSU, you might want to block that guy.

• “That boy is fast. He makes fast look not fast.” Some serious speed on the field tonight down in Baton Rouge.

• Malik Reed has some Lamar to his game (Herbstreit slobbering all over this kid and the Aggies more than a bit over the top).

• “I didn’t have any corn!” Fat bastard Mike Elko putting the nail in Brian Kelly’s coffin made my night!

• “When I get home, I’m gonna punch your mama in the mouth.” How Garrett Nussmeier (and half his coaching staff) hasn’t punched Brian Kelly in the face I’ll never know.

• Herbstreit has his share of odd opinions, but I share in his Adidas disdain. Those Miami salute to service unis were beyond hideous. Not that the Grateful Dead Ducks unis were my favorite either, but Oregon and Fox needed SOMETHING to get people to watch the inevitable “Truckin” of a bad Wisconsin team.

• Allowing Tim Brando to speak words into a microphone not helping their cause.

• Hard to fuck up blue and white, but Adidas will find away.

• Seriously, what are we doing? NOTHING will get me to try an Arby’s steak nugget.

• Another reminder not to sleep on Vols WR Chris Brazzell.

• Buford HS star Justice Haynes about all scUM has to cheer about this year.

• Pitt putting up video game numbers as they roll through the minor leagues. I still want Narduzzi fired. Jagoff.

• I tried using the quad box so I could keep an eye on the World Series. That eye is now crossed.

• Not sure what’s worse, McAfee pissing away his hard earned MILLIONS on soon to be wealthy anyway college kids kicking field goals, or donating MILLIONS to WVU football. Pat’s wife must meet him at the airport with a baseball bat.

• “If you don’t like Mike Tomlin, there’s something wrong with you.” Ohhh there’s PLENTY wrong with me, Sean, but it’s got nothing to do with me not liking Mike Tomlin.

• Buffs back at the bottom. Thanks Coach Prime for getting me to bed at a decent hour.

Heintschel playing good ball for Pitt, happy for the kid. Fun offense to watch right now.

The big 10 championship game could be 1 vs. 2. If both undefeated, the loser still gets a bye. The Hoosiers are firing on all cylinders.

I do agree, Mendoza bores me to death. I feel a Daniel Jones/Tannehill NFL trajectory is in his future. He won't get a contract 2 with the team that drafts him but ends up being pretty decent 5 years down the road.

Mateer stinks, no thanks.

My weekly reminder, Cincy Bearcats are a fun team. Brendan Sorsby can sling it. They're making it look easy right now.

Lanorris Sellers will be a Steeler. (If Tomlin is still in charge, fingers crossed he's not)

Drama, take one for the team. Steak nugget review next week.

We all hate Fox's Big Noon Kickoff. Hate it. They can never pick the right game.

Aiden is a dude. His NFL projection will depend on how he tests. Instincts are great, just hope he's quick/fast enough for the NFL.

Are you referring to the student section for the keep your shirt on comment? If so, they're a bunch of drunk college kids that get bored when we're up 50 on an opponent by the end of the 3rd quarter...I'm just thrilled that they aren't doing because we're on the other end of such a game, because that's what it used to be. Since Cignetti took over, we're winning our home games by an average of 38.9 points.

I'd take a shot at Sellers IF Rodgers is sticking around for another year. The only person in the building trustworthy to teach anybody anything about NFL offense. Looks like that's probably not going to be the case.

There's no way fast food steak nuggets could be steak, much less good.

My week was made with arguably the biggest asshole in all of coaching, BRIAN KELLY, shit canned by LSU

There’s ZERO CHANCE I ruin it by consuming whatever low grade dog food Arby’s is putting in those nuggets

Now if PSU can hire Kelly and LSU Franklin, the circle will be complete.

Don’t tease me ICE!

Kelly to Penn State would be TREMENDOUS!

Sadly, I don’t think the Happy Valley higher-ups are quite that dumb

If only to hear him attempt to fake a Pennsylvania accent for a few years till he inevitably wears out his welcome.

I want to see Franklin in LSU so they can totally run that team into the ground. I hope Nuss gets out of there before that happens.

By boring, Mendoza just stands in the pocket and makes passes. Other knocks on him is that he has a good running game. Jones would be accuate comp. If he goes to a team with a decent Oline he will be fine.

Not as good a runner as DJ but he makes throws from the pocket. I would actually say Michael Penix would be a better comp for Mendoza.

I'm a buy on Sellers. But it feels very difficult to get excited about drafting any QB as long as MT is in charge and running the defense.

And I would caution you all to wait until December or January before hoping to have Rodgers return. There were some signs of last year's issues in the GB game. He was blindly throwing the ball away in 1.5 seconds if he thought Parsons was going to beat the protection.

I never thought Rodgers was coming back for a year 2

Despite the skepticism now surrounding this once thought to be great qb class, I still think the Steelers will stick to their master plan come hell or high water

Keep NHALS alive with Rodgers

Then

Take another swing at a 1st round quarterback in front of the hometown crowd

It’s all but written in stone

They drafted Kenny in round one in the weakest QB class in recent memory, so I don't doubt they'll stick to their guns, but they desperately need a teacher of modern NFL QB play, no matter who the guy is, and maybe double if it's a raw prospect like Sellers. I threw Rodgers' name out because he's the only one currently in the building I remotely believe has the possibility of being that.

Agree with all of this

They simply need a new HC who doesn't hate offense.
