week 10

Post by jebrick » Sun Nov 02, 2025 3:17 pm

Not sure any QB considered a 1st round pick ( not named Mendoza) had a week to talk about.

Sellers got bombed but behind that Oline, I'm not holding it against him

Trinidad Chambliss with another strong performance against a tough defense. Another plus for the 6'0 and under QBs

Haynes King Looked decent in GT first loss.

Pavia( another short QB) almost beat Texas.

Mateer looked liked he needed more time to heal or another year at school.

Brendan Sorsby came back to earth not playing a cupcake.

Maiava looked meh in a win vs Nebraska. Raiola is wasting his talent playing for the Cornhuskers. He should jump ship to be IU's next QB.

Minnesota and Nebraska quietly wore the same uniforms today.

I agree a change of venue (along with dropping the weird and very unserious Baby Mahomes schtick) would be good for Raiola, if he's interested in an NFL future.

Mendoza and Sayin continue to be the best and by far most consistent two QBs in CFB, in some order. I'm obviously partial to Sayin, and badly want a tOSU vs. IU B1G Championship Game to decide it on the field.

Funny self deprecating from Saban on having Sayin running the scout team for a year in Tuscaloosa.

Really nice game from Arch in the upset win for Texas today. They needed that one, and it was cheered in Columbus, as well.

Several games in and I still don't know what to make of Bryce Underwood, but that running game is humming on all cylinders regardless of the back. They're hanging in there, and could easily have something to play for other than bragging rights in The Game this year.

Man, Georgia playing to competition like some of those old Cowher Steeler teams. Shame Lagway couldn't be more consistent and have some accuracy.

I liked the grit and leadership from Mateer in a gotta have it game on the road against a good Vols team in a hostile road environment, but the tape probably won't be the stuff of legend. He's definitely still playing hurt, but...

Lot of talented QB prospects out there in pretty desperate need of better coaching, and you can put Sellers in that box, as well. Going to be an interesting evaluation process on some of these guys this spring.

I'll throw in a plug for the Panthers, 5-0 under the frosh after the 2-2 start, and they're definitely a fun offense to watch. Unless you like rubbernecking at car wrecks, the most entertaining team in the state by a mile.

Duke over Clemson, speaking of offense, was wildly fun! Is Darian Mensah starting to be somebody worth talking about, either this year (RS Soph, but I'm not sure he'd declare) or next?

Let's forget QB in the draft next year and find a way to get Arvell, Carnell, or in my happiest dreams, both, then stock up on some DBs.

One more thing... contrast tOSU's halftime adjustments versus a very game PSU team against anything we've seen the Steelers do in a similar situation in a very long time, and it's easy to see why I like Saturdays way better than Sundays.

Julian Sayin is the best QB in the nation. That’s all I got this week.

Jeremiah Smith's HS QB CJ Bailey for NCSt is a tease. Looked like the second coming upsetting GA Tech this week, pedestrian against Pitt and ND.

I agree not worth using draft Capital on any Qb in round one

Unless Mendoza or Sellers drops to 10, I agree.

Yep the Sayin kid is phenomenal (just wish he were bigger).

Doesn’t hurt to be throwing to elite weapons, but the kid just doesn’t miss.

Buckeye fans, I truly hope DC Matt Patricia sticks around. No way his name shouldn’t be mentioned in the crazy football coaching carousel.

That front 7 is just filthy.

Yesterday’s win over the Colts shows Tomlin has no immediate plans to forgo NHALS so my guy Arvell Reece will not be attainable (sans a big trade up).

Two of my son’s former teammates Kayden McDonald (North Gwinnett) and Eldrick Houston (Buford) are dominating on the DL.

Speaking of unattainable, Gwinnett County kind of like college football, a transient mess with kids changing schools all the time. Caleb Downs brother Josh played at North Gwinnett, but Caleb ended up at rival Mill Creek.

I for one can’t wait for an Indiana/Ohio State showdown (only thing REMOTELY compelling about BIG Ten football).

Hell, I wouldn’t mind if the CFB playoff seedings were rigged so the Buckeyes and Hoosiers could play for the N atty.

The Mendoza kid vs Matt Patricia and the Buckeye defense?

Solve that riddle once, maybe even twice, and you can go ahead and pencil in Mendoza as the top pick in the draft (to of course be held in glorious downtahn Pittsburgh PA)

I swear Kirby Smart and Mike Tomlin are related.

Playing down to the level of their competition is in their DNA

And if the Steelers somehow land the Sellers kid, y'all can thank Mike Shula and his gawd awful coaching.

Shane Beamer could be seen MFing Shula up and down the sidelines through the headset.

Dude single handily torpedoed the Cocks season, Beamer's career, and Sellers draft stock.

Firing wasn't good enough for that bum

Going from Beamer and Shula to Tomlin and Uncle Artie would be a rough couple of years for young Mr. Sellers' future.
