Asante Samuel visiting

Post by Steelafan77 » Thu Nov 06, 2025 1:37 pm

Samuel has been cleared to play and is actively visiting clubs.

The Steelers are one of those clubs interested.

If any club has an inside knowledge about his health and capabilities it’s Pittsburgh.
Dr. David Okonkwo, neurosurgeon for the Pittsburgh Steelers, performed the surgery.

Okonkwo and Dr. Nicholas Theodore, also known for his work in spinal trauma, have reviewed Samuel's most recent medical scans

Asante Samuel Jr. has a packed free agency visit schedule, per source:

Panthers today, Packers on Thursday,
Vikings on Friday, 49ers on Monday, Bears on Tuesday, Steelers on Wednesday

Isn’t he a little young for the Steelers?

played for the Chargers the last 4 years, so maybe just intel collection on how to better utilize 4 TEs' 2 RB and Spencer Anderson into the passing attack.

He’s 5’10”, 180 and just had spinal fusion surgery.

I can’t see him being a guy who would be interested in tackling at all.

He’s a perfect fit for the Steelers secondary.
