Fuck You Ballwashers, Season 9

Post by Steelperch » Mon Nov 10, 2025 5:24 am

You know who you are.

9 years without a playoff win. Longest drought since 1972, and there is no end in sight. The team gets routinely embarrassed, but rest assured the ballwashers will be here pounding their chest when we beat one of the Ohio teams.

We all see this is a franchise stuck in mediocrity, but you Ballwashers fail to acknowledge it and are just stooges for the owner who wants to slightly better than average. That will keep you guys sedated and buying tickets and merchandise.

I can understand Swiss and some others who know that Tomlin won't be fired, and who accept it and just kind of hope for the best. But I don't quite get getting worked up by people who are correctly pessimistic about the state of the team and it's future prospects.

There are very, very few "ballwashers" around here and the few that do exist barely show their faces any longer. At least on this site, Tomlin is almost universally loathed and the only real debate is whether we should hope for a complete washout or just kind of hope for the best despite rationality.

Swiss isn't the real enemy here. Go outside the bubble of this site to a place like Reddit or a few other sites. You'll meet the true Tomlin ballwashers who actually still think he can win it all and is just held back by circumstances like shitty QB play and poor execution.

Thanks CK, not only am I not a Tomlin ball washer. I've wanted him gone for at least a dozen years, longer than the majority of asshats on this esteemed website.

That said, two other things which I've often cited, and which I believe to be true.

-Mike Tomlin ain't going nowhere until Mike Tomlin wants to. Why?? Three reasons.
-The Rooneys get off on NHALS, which could end this year.
-The Rooneys get off on having only 3 Head Coaches since 1969.
-The Rooneys, inventors of the Rooney Rule, sure as fuck aren't firing the black Head Coach,

Other thing, of which I've been totally transparent, when January comes around, I would much rather see my team play a playoff game than not:

That will keep you guys sedated and buying tickets and merchandise.
This is what we all want.

We want to be put under Coach Ts spell and charms and celebrate winning streaks of one game with fifteen turnovers then move on to the next game, we can do it! We can do it next game!

You are either on Coach Ts side or the side of evil and vicious non-fans who hate Coach T.

You forgot racist Western PA rednecks, they are the core constituency that are to blame for the team failing to elevate Coach T.

This is the thread I was hoping for.

Anyone that watched that slop last night and is happy with the direction of the franchise can eat a bag of dicks.

I mean, IF they are .500 the rest of the way (some bad teams, some late-season beat up teams, BAL resting its starters in week 18) and luck into a trip to IND or DEN, they could have a day where AR goes off and they steal a playoff win. So, I'm not ruling it out, strictly based on how fraudulent the division leaders are right now. As I've said, the postseason matchup has to be the key.

However, the Steelers playoff chances look considerably less rosy after last night. IF the Steelers lose the division to BAL–as pretty much every model indicates they will–then they are fighting for three playoff spots with: Bills 6-3, Jaguars 5-4, Chargers 7-3 (lost head-to-head), Chiefs 5-4. I'd be surprised if the Jags made it and would be surprised if Bills & Chiefs don't make it. So I guess I'd say it's win the division or hope the Chargers lose 2 more games than PIT does the rest of the way.

The Athletic Simulator says the Steelers chances of make the playoffs is 45% and it's chance of winning the division is 34%. I think it's safe to say that means the Steelers have about a 10-15% chance to make the playoffs if they don't win the division.

I don’t know about everyone else

But I don’t want to be in the playoffs if we suck

I’ve seen enough embarassing playoff losses over the last 8 or so years to last me the rest of my life

What’s the point?

Oh cool, we made the playoffs and got blown out again .

No fucking thanks

I hope they lose next week just so someone can ask Deuce about the state of affairs. Will he say "we still have a non-losing record?" I'm on the edge of my seat with anticipation

After 8 long years of playoff embarrassment, I will never understand the “Fuck You” chest pounding over a meaningless regular season win enroute to NHALS and the inevitable playoff loss that follows.

Like? Have the ballwasher(s) not been paying attention for the past decade?

Geez- Louise

Anyway, To Perch’s (eloquently made) point, that works both ways.

Last night’s embarrassing performance (I knew to go to bed at halftime) is the NHAL’s norm. It’s not unexpected nor even the least bit upsetting to me at this point.

Nope, no chest pounding for me (but appreciate well placed sarcasm and all things Caddyshack)

As the expression goes, “I’ve seen this movie before”

When Tomlin gets his revenge over Flacco and the Bengals at home next week it will be rinse/repeat here at SteelerFury

“FUCK YOU, HATERS!”

"WE SHOWED THAT FLACCO WHO'S BOSS!"

To which the haters will laugh and say "Good for you! Pound that chest, big fella… just wait until next week’s debacle."

It’s a viscous NHALS cycle with no end in sight.

Soooo wish we could get back to celebrating PLAYOFF WINS instead of regular season wins over Danny FUCKING Dimes.

YOU SUCK, Tomlin!

@Steeldrama I'm not sure NHALS makes the playoffs this year. 9-8 gonna make you the 8 or 9 seed, I think. It may, however, get you the 16th overall pick, which is probably close enough to move up for the 3rd or 4th best QB in the class.

Yeah, I think 10 wins might be a tie-breaker scenario (which would seem to favor PIT). Without examining remaining schedules, NE, BUF, IND, and DEN are probably all good for 11+ wins. Possibly LAC (who now owns the head-to-head tie-breaker).

So that's 2 WCs out of reach. KC probably starts rolling and I think gets to at least 10 wins.

10-7 probably wins the AFCN. Agree 9-8 looks like 8 or 9 seed.

I kind of want to see this as well. Another PO WC thrashing will be so epic. He will then join the great Marving Lewis as a HC with 8 straight playoff losses. I want Jibba to join Marvin Lewis

100% in this camp. You can sum up the 3 points above as Pride. Living in a world where you compete against 31 other billionaires, it's very difficult to win. So, if you can't enjoy the ultimate pride of success, you can marinate in things like NHALS, only 3 coaches, Rooney Rule, and whatever the fuck is going on with Ireland. Seriously, what is the connection and who cares?

The Steelers have become the modern Washington Generals. The league can roll them out in primetime or the playoffs to reliably get their asses kicked and draw ratings. They'll even keep falling for the same Meadowlark Lemon tricks. At least the Generals were in on the joke.

Ya, the same lazy cunt that said he doesn’t even bother evaluating Jibba’s performance because he’s just so happy to even have him is now going to have a “tough conversation” with him.

Dunce is Jibba’s bitch and is more likely to trip over himself giving the offensive tard another 1st round QB to ruin than he is to have a “tough conversation” with him.

Oh noes. Jibbs gonna get a stern talking to. Im sure he’s steaming his aviators with fear.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

As much as that is what should happen it isn’t going to.

New owners in charge AND a new head coach at the same time is WAY too aggressive for these cowards.

No way I trade up to give Jibbs a new QB unless a new OC is hired and given full control of the offense. Maybe that is the “tough conversation” that is had.

That OC takes over as HC after Jibba’s contract expires.

The town gossip Eisen is just enjoying the story arc this season is generating, just like every other season. You can set a watch to it.

The drama is what hooks the lizard brains of the ballwashers as they screech and jerkoff like Yinzer chimps.

Maybe the conversation that needs to be had is Danny Rooney and sons take the elder wand from Art Douche and dump the basement scotch collection into the sewer grate

Clean house. Fresh start for the 2026 draft It’s gonna be a sad event with jibba swinging his dick around to ruin another draft

They love tradition so much, they should know the franchise did exactly that in 1969.

Art Sr. Turned over running the team to Dan and Art Jr., they hired Chuck Noll & drafted Joe Greene.

It was literally the best thing that ever happened to the franchise and the Rooney name. Why do they choose the irrelevant parts of chasing the past and not the important ones?

The great Hacksaw Jim Duggan, ever so hockey inclined, sees an overlap with the ball washers here and the weird primal obsession most Penguins Yinzers have with Marc Andre Fleury. After being a passenger to early success, Fleury choked away almost a decade of playoff performances before someone with balls came and stole his spot and led the team to back to back cups.
Minus the latter part, that's pretty much just Tomlin.

The ball washers are the same people who adore the mediocre slop of MAF.

They are retarded.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Tomlin PC 1/14/25 -“‘Stuck’ is a helpless feeling. I don’t feel helpless,” Tomlin said. “I don’t know if I want to sell you an overly optimistic (tone) either.
