I’ll put it this way, i played golf yesterday so missed the game.
When I got home, instead of immediately putting the game on, I watched the final round of the LPGA tournament first.
Then I put on our shitty team.
That would have never happened years ago. I wouldn’t have been able to wait.
Jibbs has killed football so much that LPGA golf now resides above it in terms of importance.
I’d rather watch Nelly Korda, Minjee Lee, or Nataliya Guseva than Scam Heyward, TJ Watt, or our pathetic offense.
And I ESPECIALLY loathe seeing Jibba’s smug fucking face. It’s why bad losses are so special these days. Those are the games the smug, arrogant look on his face turns to that clueless as fuck deer in the headlights look.
Love that look. Hope we have a few more of those this year.
I'm 51 years old....
Re: I'm 51 years old....
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
Been a hardcore fan since mid 50s. Seen the good, the bad, the glory, the stink. Until you were an adult fan during those first 38 years, you really can't understand sports despair. I lost some of my football passion around 2010 when the NFL changed rules enough (they had almost lost me a few times before with previous rules changes) to basically deny us a championship.
Before the changes, we were literally beating the living snot out of our opponents. You could see they could not wait to get to the sauna. No one could beat us. They changed rules in the middle of the Fing season, robbing us of 7, because you know damn well they didn't want #7 up on that podium hoisting the Lombardi that year. So they stole Lombardi's from us in the 2000s with that bullshit Patsy cheating, then directly did it again in 2010. That combined with a real lack of interest in most people who play football these days has turned me off the sport.
Then, around 2018 or so, I started to see that another issue was on board, that of a coach who seems determined to undermine nearly 50 years of glory. It is a rough situation. I still follow, but less so than I used to. Just don't care much for most football players these days. I prefer hockey and baseball players, for most part. I was a Buccos fan before becoming a football fan, that will never change. I love the game of baseball, though that has changed also. But the game of football has changed to a point where I don't really care much for it anymore nor those who participate in it.
Will always bleed black and gold, will always go down fighting with black and gold on my sleeve, and will always, always, always root for victory! There is no guarantee that prolonged losing will result in anything but agony. I will take my sports joy where and when I get it, particularly at my advanced age. Not many sunsets or victories left. Going to relish each and every one.

Tomlin does not hire quality coaches just keep yes men and won’t change until he is gone. It a shame but I don’t get invested as I use to do am 61 and the losses don’t drive me crazy guess that a good thing. But it a shame stopped buying merchandise and not have visted the Steelers at home in over 3 years.
