"its the Edmund Fitzgerald."

The legend lives on from the seventies on down
of a great team with winning tradition

But a coach who's brain dead never uses his head
By the end of November the fans are all bitchin

(BTW greatest song ever that is repetitive and doesn't have a bridge)

Well done, Dan

Stumbled upon a Gordon Lightfoot concert at Hartwood Acres many years ago

Gordo said something to the effect “soo good to be here in Philadelphia”

Couple hundred yinzers in attendance booed the shit out of him.

This thread seems like the best place to dump this info:

The Steelers didn't complete a pass over 20 air yards in the month of November. 0/11, 2 INTs.

For a comparison, 3rd string QB Jameis Winston completed 5 such passes this week alone for a team missing its 2 best offensive players (Nabers, Neal) and had just fired it's head coach.
Point made

But if you’re referring to Bama’s Evan Neal dude’s not one their 2 best players he’s a major bust
Oops, yeah, I got Neal mixed up with Thomas. My bad.

Gordon Lightfoot is fantastic and Bob Dylan agreed.

Does any man know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

One of the greatest gut punch lyrics in history.

When that song came out I though it was referring to some long ago shipwreck, then I realized it had just happened.

Let’s not forget to point out how much better George Pickens is too, with coaches that you know…coach.

He has new moves to get off the line and his hand fighting seems to be better.

Wow, this Pickens fella is really good for the Cowboys, too bad the Steelers didn't draft him!

Fuck the FO too.

He would have at least 3 tantrums by now in a Steelers offense. Our coaches are horrific.

Gotta hand it to Pickens. Pouting and getting his move out of Pittsburgh was the absolute correct move for him. Our front office can get fucked for wasting his abilities. We've turned into a very unserious organization.

and pickens was right - he was smart to do whatever needed to be done to be thrown off the steelers

imagine being that good and being content to be mediocre and and get a shitty C2

and the unspoken story is how utterly foolish and dumb the steeelrs are

Swiss he looks like he went to visit Mr. Miyagi. He has new moves and his hand fighting is getting him open almost immediately. Hands and body control are still other worldly. Several people should be taken out behind the wood shed and shot.

Tomlin for wanting this.
Khan for arranging it.
Rooney for not explaining football to his organization and what the edict “playing for a championship every season” means.
Scouting department for not bringing a bomb to complex to prevent the trade.

I hope they're enjoying this. Hope Tomlin's glued to the TV watching the guy he drafted tear it up on another team because they figured out the secret to getting the most out of Pickens is just throwing him the fucking ball.

Significant that the cowboys have another receiver to pull safety attention away from pickens. That’s why i was initially excited by the Metcalf trade…we were finally going to make things hard for defenses by putting multiple guys out there that could beat 1-on-1 coverage. And then oh well nevermind

Ya but the precious (and oh so feeble) lockeroom has been saved.

How weak is our lockeroom that 1 guy can destroy it?

Isn’t that what we pay Scam to police?
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Pickens is uncoverable with this playcalling. In a way, this is a good thing as it further exposes the moron Tomlin defenders left nationally.

Anyone thought about the absurd ironic audacity that Mike Tomlin called out Stefansky for intradivisonally trading Flacco, after having traded a generational talent to your arch nemesis in the NFL? I am pretty sure Steeler Nation knows Super Bowl ring counts for the big 4, especially “America’s Team”…you don’t trade generational players as they are most likely rings too!

He traded a top three WR and now there are likely no all-pros on the team except maybe Bos

You know t makes total sense to drive away a top three talent, because they don’t fit in your 1960s offense

But imagine the stupidity of running a time of possession offense, while having to play catch up because up you are simultaneously running a 1990s defense

I thought he might pout or do something when Lamb and others were getting passes, but he didn't and proceeded to win the game with some tough grabs.

One wonders if Martavis could have done the same. Just how many people's careers has Mr. Magnanimous (who says how much he cares about young black men), totally ruined...quite a few.

Pick was smart to get the hell out of Pittsburgh.

Hopefully the Pickens trade highlights everything wrong with the Steelers in a way the media simply cannot ignore. If he singlehandedly drags Dallas to a playoff victory, that will be something to see. Im likely going to start watching their games when I can - just because. And Maybe WR coaching also needs to be added to Tomlins "failures list". It's interesting that no other teams were interested in Pickens. I wonder if they all bought in to the locker room problem that even the great "leader of men" could not handle.

If I were a Rooney, Id sit down with Tomlin each Monday morning, watch the Pickens highlights from the weekend game with him, and ask repeatedly why none of this was possible while Pickens was a Steeler. If I were Khan, Id take Tomlin out behind the woodshed and pummel him with bags of his wife's clothes until he pissed hisself. The way things are going, Khan is never going to remove the stink of this trade from his career. He should be furious.
