This isn't postmodernism. He had control and both feet down.
If that isn't a TD than neither is Santonio Holmes in the SB.

Worst call since Dez Bryant

You don’t consider a WR receiver extending his arms to max distance from the defender a football move? That is as quintessential a football move as an RB sticking out his non carrying arm to stiffarm…aka the Heisman move.stillthere wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:39 pmIf he had held the ball just a bit longer but it was slipping before the 3rd step / football move. Unless you consider the fumble a football move and in that case it would have been Steelers ball with the obvious recovery.

Football move never meant "third leg"

I think they are trying to say is it must survive to be a catch.
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

Haha, the Bears just lost a completion because the receiver dropped the ball by not getting the 3rd foot down or making a football move. They are in on the cover up.

Not if he doesn't possess it or finish with a 3rd step or perform a football move (like tucking the ball away) the ball was moving before his third step took place. It was pure luck but it is what the rules say. We should have lost the game but we did not.Gonzo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:28 pmNot sure why a football move is required in the end zoneLakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:26 pmLikely’s no-catch just as awful as the Jesse James’ no-catch call!
A runner scores the second ball touched the line
A wr that catches and toe taps in EZ scores
When his feet came down it was a TD
This is truly a shitshow division.
Browns somehow lost a game to TN with Cam ward passing for 117 yards and Sanders chucking it for 364.
Ravens supposedly the class of this division never led in this game once and got ass raped by the 4-8 Bungs with the division on the line last week. They've looked sketchy and weak all year. Fuck them once the refs are finished taking their turn.
Bungs only figured out how to play football about 10 games into the season, which is about five games too late.
It's questionable we've figured it out at all yet even with the division lead. I still can't take the team seriously, even with a nice (if refball-assisted) win this week.
Whoever makes it into the playoffs from the North, either us or the Ravens, will be lucky to even get past the divisional round. I expect a hasty exit.

One thing I know for sure, I’d do everything in my power to trade Watt this off-season. Zero explosion or effort as a pass rusher. He’s cooked!

Is Alberto Riveron, the officiating boss, back in NFL HQ?
He caused all the Jesse James and Dez Bryant fuckups.
He's counting the 1st down holding penalty on the Ravens which cost another 10. The first such call they made all game long.stillthere wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:48 pmI thought they said 18 yards.

Cleveland has two first round picks and one will be top 3. Bengals and Ravens are cruising towards top 10 picks. We will win the division with 8 or 9 wins and be picking in the 20’s. We’re always too good to rebuild, never good enough to compete for anything meaningful. It’s purgatory and some people cheer for it.

Do you not get that he extended the ball outward? That is a fucking football move. Doing a tuck would be a retarded football move in this instance.stillthere wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:46 pmNot if he doesn't possess it or finish with a 3rd step or perform a football move (like tucking the ball away) the ball was moving before his third step took place. he could have secured the ball without a 3rd step. he could have been standing on 2 feet never taken another step and put he ball away (the football move) and had a TD without a 3rd step. The ball was moving before he took a 3rd step or secured it.
No TD.
8 out of 10 times he probably makes the catch just fine but today he did not. We got a huge lucky break but that is what it is.
So true. He doesn’t have the bend anymore.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:18 pmTJ has zero explosion or effort on pass rushers any more

So CBS AND the refs both got the Tomlin hotseat memo.

Who wants him, though? He's been horrible..I don't think even LaMarr Woodley fell off this far, this fast. I know he gets double teamed a lot but he used to be 1000% effort type. No longer.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:49 pmOne thing I know for sure, I’d do everything in my power to trade Watt this off-season. Zero explosion or effort as a pass rusher. He’s cooked!

I for one can't wait to watch the Steelers go 9-8, back into the 4th seed, then lose by 30 in the Wildcard Round. So excited that I will have an extra game to watch in January!Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:52 pmHonestly today was worst case scenario.drmalba wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:47 pmThis is truly a shitshow division.

The ball was moving in his hands the DB was pushing his arm away from securing the catch. People may say I have black and gold colored glasses on but by rule the ball was being lost before he controlled it or landed with a 3rd step. Like I have said it was pure luck and we should have lost Isiah Luckily did not finish his job on the play.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:52 pmDo you not get that he extended the ball outward? We got out snapped like 75 to 51 what an embarrassing win.
As soon as he didn't get the third step down before the ball came out, I knew the call was getting overturned.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:26 pmLikely’s no-catch just as awful as the Jesse James’ no-catch call!
