What's more impressive Vance MacDonald or Mount Washington and their perspective stiff arms. To me they are close, but I'll take Mount Washington.

Vance's stiff-arm set off a chain of events that led to the Steelers missing the playoffs in 2018. After everyone was impressed with Vance, Xavier "X-Man" Grimble tried to do the same thing in the Denver game and blow up a DB on the way to the end zone, intentionally running into the contact instead of taking the open TD. Unfortunately, the DB blew up Grimble, he fumbled out of the back of the endzone, the Broncos get the ball and end up winning the game. Losing that game cost the Steelers the playoffs and in retrospect closed the Steelers 2010s window. X-Man is on my list of most hated Steelers as a result.gojira5150 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 7:23 pmWhat's more impressive Vance MacDonald or Mount Washington and their perspective stiff arms. That 2018 team couldn't get out of its own way. They went from mid-season #1 seed to missing the playoffs because of a bunch of sloppy losses to bad teams. That was also the "time pressure" loss against the Raiders. 2018, coming after the 2017 Jacksonville debacle, was the last straw for me with Tomlin.

The only thing he has left to do is outrun someone in the open field, which will likely happen at some point, considering his 40 time, even at size.Sir Lambert wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 5:35 pmI think he should not have gone so close to the sideline. At about the 35 yard line he could have cut back to the right, away from the sideline. Instead, he was stepping just a few inches from the sideline, and was nudged out of bounds, which has the same effect as being tackled. If he had not been so close to the sideline, they would have had to keep trying to tackle him for real.

Washington said he's 311
Only a Mike Tomlin coached team could be given such a unique mismatch and yet never get the guy to the end zone. The big man has just 2 TDs in his 44 career games.

B, bu, bu, but, but, butt the other team knows it’s coming now cuz we did it twice in 3 years.
Those plays have been locked up in the “break glass in case of emergency” case.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
You know, if Tomlin ever gets to another SB he's got ONE HELLUVA gameplan locked-up in that vault....
He still won’t use those plays. Will save them along with all the time outs he has stashed away somewhere.

I had forgotten it was so close to halftime when that play happened. So maybe that's an excuse to go out of bounds, but the Steelers did have 3 timeouts at that moment.Sir Lambert wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 5:35 pmI think he should not have gone so close to the sideline. In general, I see ball-handlers going out of bounds too easily. They should try to make it difficult to tackle them. Especially Darnell Washington, who is very difficult to tackle.

He will get written out of the playbook for the next 4 weeks.Darnell Washington looking like a grown man playing against a bunch of kids at his son's

Gotta get Conner Heyward involved.

Seriously. I’ve never understood the apparent fascination with Heyward. How many other teams would even have him on the roster? He will get written out of the playbook for the next 4 weeks.

Hopefully Coach Bonehead doesn’t ruin his career.
It’s heading that direction.
Get out while you can young man!
