Steelers fucked over by NFL
OK, I know I've been on record as acknowledging that the Steelers were kind of the beneficiary of officiating against both Baltimore and Detroit… But… They clearly have been fucked over big-time lately .
First off, although DK was a fucking idiot the NFL was way too harsh with the two game suspension and then despite most of the Talking Heads predicting it would be reduced to one, sticking with the two game deal. That was fucking bullshit.
And then, what was really fucking bullshit was the non-call on a DPI that fucking DB was not looking back for the ball. It was yanking Valdez, his arm down prior to the arrival of the ball. Steelers would have tied that game and not unreasonable to believe that that overtime would have ended in a tie with steelers clenching the north.
I found out today that one of McAfee's boys, tone digz, who I'm sort of related to my marriage posts…"fuck the NFL!!" Not watching the Sunday nighter". I agree with the fuck the NFL part and fuck Roger Goodell bringing me back to the suspension of James Harrison in 2010. That's when I called in to Stan severance show and told him my vote for Jagoff of the week was Stan savran for naming James Harrison as jagoff of the week. Stan didn't like that, was pissed at me.
but I'll certainly be watching on Sunday night

I might want to put this new thread into another class of Excuses. They missed the call, if it was one. The side angle is iffy but blury. Rodgers shouldn't have thrown to MVS 3 EFFING TIMES!!

Do what you want… I agree that there's no way I should've been thrown that scrub three times in a row, or even once. Just pointing out the incompetence of the officials...not even to mention the bullshit roughing on cams picture perfect tackle and that the NFL's call on the suspension is bullshit.DumlinBumlinStumlin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 10:06 pmI might want to put this new thread into another class of Excuses. Steelers got a lot of calls and breaks this season especially lions and ravens. That isn’t a shot at Steelers. It’s cause os Tomlin The league really favors him. Maybe cause he is on competition committee. Idk
The league kinda favored don Shula when he was on that committee.
That’s it. Mike Tomlin is modern day don Shula. That’s really good comparison.
Anyways I think Steelers will get some breaks again this week to win. Ravens are not that good. Probably have a backup qb. All Steelers have to do is throw the ball down the field and they will be fine.
I do find it funny some fans think last week is fixed to get to this week. Well if that was the case they would had to fix previous games including Steelers wins and losses. It’s not just a one game thing if fans are going to do that route. It can’t be my team lost so it’s fixed. It’s got to be said even when your team wins. So if fix was in last week then it’s been in for a while with other games including wins and loses for Steelers
And yes I know this isn’t what you were talking about in your op. Dk should know better. Tomlin enables these guys to do this crap.

In any season, you'll get calls that go your way and other calls that don't. Some are egregious and others not so much. But in general, the calls even out over the course of a season.
So yea, this is yet another Mediocre Team right in the mushy middle of competitive teams.

That was as textbook a DPI as has ever taken place in the NFL. The motherfucker never, not even for a millisecond, bothered to look back for the ball AND he tackled MVS well before the ball got there.
The NFL made sure no flags were thrown because they wanted the Steelers and Ravens to play with everything on the line.
Nothing else need be added.

A it was pretty clearly defensive passing interference
B the league definitely wanted the ravens and Steelers to play for the division
C the league is almost certainly rigged
With that being said
The Steelers could’ve played even just a little bit better
They could’ve kicked the 39 yard field goal earlier in the game instead of going deep on fourth and one
If they kicked that field goal, all they need is another field goal to win the game instead of a touchdown
In other words, the Steelers had plenty of opportunities to score more than 13 points, but their own shitty performance, and their own shitty coaching did them in. Well above and beyond any terrible officiating
We draw Shawn Smith's crew.
They call an inordinate number of defensive holding and unnecessary roughness penalties.
I have no idea which team that favors. I'd like to say the Steelers because the Ravens' secondary is no good but who knows?
But it looks like there will be a lot of flags on Sunday.

Rodgers was the main fault here, quick out worried about Garrett, should have schemed another play and not telegraph the 3 plays to MVS

Bury your opponent early so you don't have to worry about shitty officials or your DB slipping and giving up a 70 yard TD or needing your geriatric QB to have perfect ball placement with seconds left in the game
But he'll continue to dance on the margins because in his mind it's been beyond successful .

That is the common denominator. He doesn't have the football mind and balls to do any of that, unless the QB takes it upon himself to mfg offenseDeebo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 4:28 pm

No.
Especially when the whining is about an idiot with no self-control and officiating.
Mike Tomlin and NHALS - The embodiment of the soft bigotry of lowered expectations.
steelers have no business whining about calls -- they have a shot at playoffs solely due to a series of horrible calls by refs to save their ass
and, that last play was not egregious -- sure it can be called but it wasnt that bad (they can call crap on almost every play if they want), they surely didnt want to gift another game for the steelers and it was a shitty pass

Too many flags are just ruining the game. Could that have been flagged? Sure.. we’ve seen similar plays called before. Also have seen similar ones not called. It’s subjective. I’d rather the flags only come out on egregious plays. That wasn’t egregious. Though I will say if JPJ is the defender that is
getting called

4th down you say? Then it's time for a low percentage sideline pass to a practice squad receiver against a top tier man corner. Didn't work the first time? No problem. Let's do it again.
The ref was probably too busy laughing to pull a flag.
FWIW both of those were on Rodgers and his career long habit of making decisions pre snap and trusting his arm to deliver a miracle. He's not suited for playing with guys he can't trust to get quick separation. Especially now at 42.

Met a lot of NFL fans from all parts of the country in my 54 years of life.
I can safely say that “crybaby Steelers fans” is “our” reputation dating back even before Tomlin (when “we” didn’t know how good “we” had it).
This thread epitomizes that reputation.
Ohhh as a one time diehard “fan” of the Pittsburgh Steelers I’d bitch and moan with the best of them (mostly about personnel decisions).
Now?
Shit Jethro, my Steelers fandom has long been jaded by the ball washing prince.
“That man offends me!”
At some point Tomlin will no longer coach the Steelers (hopefully that day comes in my lifetime).
Until then my whining will center around HIM and only HIM
Officiating?
When my team is “coached” by Mike Tomlin?
Ain’t nobody got time for that
It’s just low hanging fruit that any ham n egger fan of any team of any sport can find reasons to cry over
Officiating

Last week was rigged or messed with but so was the lions game and ravens game to get to this Sunday night game. It’s not just one game. It’s multiple for both teams. Steelers were gifted two wins recently by calls and got screwed last week. I saw you said you think Steelers will get calls this week in another post ? Why do you feel they will get calls or so get calls ? Tomlin ? Impressive a fan for their team admitting they got some calls. Most fans on bitch when they get screwed
