2. Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell. HOLY SHIT did Jaylen Warren run like he was possessed tonight (he may have been, see above). He and Kenny G were just amazing tonight. They battled for every damn yard.
3. Cam Heyward. Was that the best game of his career? Certainly probably top 5. For all the shit I give him about hanging on to play to 40 for some inane attempt to get into the HOF through longevity, he was a force tonight.
4. Aaron Rodgers: He's 42. He has the worst WR group in the NFL when you take DK off of it, and probably still bottom 5 with DK. He plays in a caveman offense. Was he perfect? Hell no. He still plays scared at times, way too rushed, and the first half was flat out ugly. But once he started taking the reins and getting comfortable late in the first half, he was dialed in. That final drive was really impressive.
5. OL protecting Rodgers: the Ravens aren't the '85 Bears, especially when it comes to a pass rush, but the big uglies up front did their job for the most part, especially considering how on most plays no one was getting the f open.
6. Unheralded dudes on the DL. How about that bat down from Logan Lee? I honestly forgot he was on the team lol. I was noticing Esezi Otomewo here and there as well. Props.

Another stellar performance by Cook as well. Hopefully this team is smart enough to name him the starter going into next year.

- I’ve resisted this. Aaron Rogers is a fucking Steeler. He will be back. We aren’t trading up. I can root for him in the playoffs
- Boz has been a Steeler since day one. Happy for him. The best kicker in Steelers history. (Love you Jeff Reed) I can root for him in the playoffs
- Low Watt is undeniably the biggest choker in Steelers history. For the first time in his career he made big impact plays in a winning effort in a big game against a solid team. I will root for him in the playoffs.
- Jaylen Warren is a tough motherfucker. He’s also the most clutch Steeler of his era other than Boz. Additionally he’s talented AND he’s got juice. It’s damn rare a Steelers player is able to breakout of the Steelers orthodoxy with all 4 of those intact on the field. I will root for him in the playoffs
- Herbig and Highsmith played huge
- I’ve long thought most NFL fans are jackasses. I like DK. He took for 40M + , delivered volunteered for special teams and tried to punch a fan. I will root for him in the playoffs
- The Outlier is very easy to root for in the playoffs. He’s also a lesson in scouting. Some players have such a great combination of outlier abilities you genuinely don’t need much tape or numbers to confirm your projections
- Good to see CA3 step up
- The DL has played much better than I expected
I expect the Steelers D to give up 30 to 40 plus and get crushed in the first round of the playoffs
Lucy + Football + Charlie Brown + etc etc etc…

They updated the depth chart recently to have him listed their starting LT FWIW.Steelperch wrote: ↑Mon Jan 05, 2026 5:14 amAnother stellar performance by Cook as well. Hopefully this team is smart enough to name him the starter going into next year.
The sample size is large enough at this point: he's a good LT.
They have him signed for dirt cheap for next year. If they're smart, they'll try to sign him to a 2-3 year extension and give him a decent payday.
What do they do with Broderick though? I think it's a near certainty they don't pick up his 5th year. Would they really try to have him change positions again and kick in at LG? That seems like a stretch, even though it's probably the best COA.
My guess is they'll have Cook and Jones battle it out at camp next year, and when Jones naturally loses they'll have him in a Spencer Anderson role before letting him hit FA in '27.

Watt made zero plays aside from a gift INT caused by Heyward. Heyward was brilliant today. Watt was solo blocked all game long, the Ravens had no fear of him.

As much as we needed the horseshoe for the missed FG kick, don't forget that Bos, one of the best of all time, missed an easier EP just before that.
The chances of both of those kicks being missed is sooooo small.

Good shit.
The mods should just merge my topic and replies into the replies in this thread. This is truly the OG thread and the OP is an official SteelerFury award-winning poster whereas I've only been nominated.
Overall, I think this is an unlikeable team, but I can't hate on this group after the effort most of them played with tonight. Cam has been solid this year but I didn't know he had THAT kind of performance in him. That was one of those career-defining performances. Highsmith and Herbig brought it (Highsmith has been on a tear the last month or so) and Watt somehow holding onto that INT was classic Steelers shenanigans.
Will that show up in the Wildcard Round? Boy, I don't know, probably not. Can the Steelers get up at the same level they did tonight or even more so? I just have a hard time envisioning that happening two weeks in a row. And at the end of the day, you can play with all the emotion in the world and can still lose handedly if you're not calling the right plays and if the other team's guys are just better.

Waitman’s hold on that Boz EXTRA POINT was damn near horizontal, all on him, laces out especially late in the season, don’t want a Ray Finkle…

As I said in the game thread this was a post-rule-changes slobberknocker. Someone sold their soul and there will be a payment extracted for playing this physical. If they win against Houston then they could win the next one. I am guessing they will be low energy due the emotional and physical energy expended last night. .

Credit to IDL, saw a ton of benton/heyward/harmon chasing plays down sidelines and even making tackles out there. Which isn’t necessarily good news from a team standpoint but heller effort points.

Calvin Austin for some HUGE catches in this game including a big catch to get the game winning drive started and then for securing the game winner.
Need this to carry over for him.
