Holy shit, has a new coach ever been given that much? I'm struggling to think of anything comparable to that.
He did really well with it the first 5-ish years. But slowly the wheels started to come off. It's clear he's out of his depth and has no answers to fix what ails this team (see the last 7 straight playoff games lol).

Don’t worry. The Khan artist will draft 3 busts in the 3rd round of the draft next year, and add a bunch of Mike Williams’s and Allen Robinsons. Maybe MVS can be back!
Khan and Rooney in the booth when on screen looked like they had food poisoning
Had our shot last year. And would have gotten pics from the Bears too.Steelperch wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 4:24 amThe only way the franchise gets competitive is to hire a great offensive mind at HC. Go watch the depleted 49ers game where they beat the defending champs on the road in the playoffs all because of coaching. This conservative bullshit offense has to be killed with fire.
But Dunce Rooney.
Three newgood coaches were available last year

Barry Switzer taking over the 90’s Cowboys. Except the Cowboys weren’t dumb enough to keep Switzer around for 19 years.tbsteel wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 5:06 amTomlin was handed the keys to a f'n Maserati.

Saw that too. It looked like they were in the lobby of a funeral parlor.
This organization is completely fucked.

On X there are Tomlin Apologists galore still, led by Kaboly.

Seriously folks, unless Tomlin leaving is accompanied by Art II stepping down from the day to day, it doesn't matter.

Tomlin will return. Bank it.
Smith will [hopefully] leave for another gig.
Austin will not return and walk away.

Does Art have anyone that he gets counsel from? He's all alone motionless in his suite.
That seems a bit strange. He doesn't have anyone to talk to during the game?
Yeah, jsut a few tweaks. Bailing the Titanic. Idiots.

Hopefully Tomlin takes a tv gig otherwise the Rooney family needs to take turns beating Art with bars of soap
Hold the soap.
I didn't used to think that. I used to think it was like Chuck Noll or Tom Landry. Get a bit complacent, message gets stale, game passes you by a bit. But the longer he sticks around, the more I see it from the perspective you suggest. Once those top notch players and coaches that he inherited moved on, he has never had even a smidgen of that level of success again. He has dredged up, for me at least, horrible memories of SOS. Dammit. This is not the way I wanted to go out.Steelperch wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 4:56 amBen and Lebeau got a SB. Also. I kind of agreed with Gonzo's take on the chest thumping and kiss blowing stuff. It is unprofessional and not what I prefer to see from my head coach, but whatever, feeling good after a win, I get it. But the more I look at it, the more I see it as a F U to the fans. Ok everyone has the right to their opinion, but if that is his, it is time to go. Teams, coaches and players need to have a relationship with their fans. At least in Pittsburgh they do. This shows he could not care less about the fans. Which means that relationship is broken. Time to move on. Dan would have done so by now, nudged him, made him lose power and get frustrated the way did with Noll. When it is time, it is time.
How do you lose 7 straight playoff games in the manner they have? How do you continue to "ease in" and play not to lose?

Kaboly is a mouth-breathing moron who is paid by the Steelers to gaslight the masses.
If that fat bastard didn’t massage Tomlin’s prostate, he would have to look for another job.
I listened to his podcast last night after the game. He refuses to consider life without Tomlin. I guess when mediocre Mike didn’t get him fired for falling asleep and drooling while he was sitting next to him during a press conference, he bought himself a media friend for life.
Mike Tomlin and NHALS - The embodiment of the soft bigotry of lowered expectations.
That was the only "positive" take away
that maybe... maybe, they know it has to end. That Tomlin has to go.
I'm not convinced Khan should stay, but given Tomlin's level of control, I'd consider giving him a pass.. for now.
The one thing they really need to do, imo, is to make sure they don't lose Weidl.

Ryan Clark is the Tomlin of broadcast journalism.
Rich Eisen is at least pleasant while being wrong.
"Seriously folks, unless Tomlin leaving is accompanied by Art II stepping down from the day to day, it doesn't matter."
This is the heart of the problem.
And the pissed off fans at the stadium complaining are also enablers.

Wasn't it Ryan Clark who was talking shit near the Jag's lockerroom before that playoff loss vs Bortles?
To be semi-fair to the race-baiting imbecile Ryan Clark who has nothing interesting to actually say, he may find himself working right along side Tomlin next year. He doesn't want the awkwardness of actively calling for his job on set all the time. Then the two of them can talk about the struggle of being mediocre black men in this profession together on air in harmony.Deebo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 6:01 pmGotta simp for his pal.Dan Smith--BYU wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 5:02 amRyan Clark with the "should be Tomlin's decision bullshit"

NOONE will address or touch that Topic in the organization or media
they will show the stat but not a peep about Why ... and the Why is obvious and it obvious that its not Chance -- it Scheme and Obstinance
