No terms yet...
Warren and Rico Dowdle are a nice 1-2 punch.
Rebound year for Kaleb as #3...
Still draft a late round RB.

Because the Steelers have Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle?
Hardly a duo that keeps DC’s awake at night

I'm with Jizz. Still draft an RB late or pick one up as UDFA. Kaleb Johnson has shown absolutely nothing as an NFL player, his roster spot is not secure.

The story was that some inside the Steelers want Khan to trade up to get Kaleb and were amazed when he was still there in the 3rd. Glad Khan stood his ground to that extent at least.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 1:07 amI'm with Jizz. Still draft an RB late or pick one up as UDFA. I forget, did we run to the podium to grab Kaleb?W&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 1:48 amThe story was that some inside the Steelers want Khan to trade up to get Kaleb and were amazed when he was still there in the 3rd. Guessing our draft rep has better moves than Kaleb as he sprinted to turn the pick in
So Gainwell was not retained and signed for 7 per w Bucs
And we replace him for 6.12
Interesting
MVP wasn’t worth the 880,000?
What am I missing

That’s WHY they signed him AFTER Gainwell leftGreeksteel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 2:33 amFamiliarity with McCarthy
Sometimes the player wants to move on for any number of reasons that aren’t always financial. Maybe KG wants to play where he isn’t in someone else’s shadow. Maybe he doesn’t like Pittsburgh. Maybe he likes the warm Florida weather…no state income tax.
Did the Steelers even make an attempt to keep him?
TB also has a better QB situation, better playing field conditions and they’re in a weaker division vs AFCN.Jobu wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 3:04 amSometimes the player wants to move on for any number of reasons that aren’t always financial. This was a weird flex letting the team MVP walk.
Dowdle is a good back though. I like it, the only reason I would be a little hesitant is he was injury-prone the first four seasons of his career.

Everyone probably knows team MVP for a pile of shit isn't much other than a temporary title with zero meaning. They had no one else to give it to.
Here Kenny, you're MVP now. He was probably wondering how the fuck that happened.
If only there was a SuperGod LB that is the best in the league to step up and show everybody the Steeler Way.

Dowdle is a straight ahead downhill runner who is like a B- RB1. Gainwell is a gadgety gadget guy. A B+ RB2.
Tampa gets their RB2 to pair with Bucky
Steelers get their RB1 to pair with Warren

Makes sense and good way to look at it.lifelongsteel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 6:30 pmDowdle is a straight ahead downhill runner who is like a B- RB1. Gainwell is a gadgety gadget guy. A B+ RB2.

I like the signing.
I had him on fantasy the last 2 years.
Finished strong to end 2024 season with Cowboys as the main guy.
100+ yards in 4 of final 6 games.
Split carries with Chuba Hubbard last year..
Chuba started out season getting more carries.....had more than half of his 134 carries in the first 6 weeks.
But Rico wound up take more of the carries week 5 on.
He had over 650 rushing yards week 5 thru 9, pretty good for a 5 game stretch.
( 3 ) 100+ yard games.....
Back to back bonanzas.
Week 5 - 23-206 1 TD, 3 for 28 rec. = 234 total yards
Week 6 - 30-183, 4 for 56 1 TD = 239 total yards.
You may be abel to count on one hand the RBs that had 230+ total yards in back to back games?
Not sure where to look that stat up.

Looked up Lev Bells insane games in 2014....
He had 3 straight 200+
Tenn, NOR and cincy
33-204, 1 TD and 2-18 = 222 total
21-95, 1 TD and 8 for 159 = 254
26-185, 2 TD and 6 for 50, 1 TD = 235
Yikes. Not sure you will find a beter 3 game strech out of a RB?
GD....how did those killer Bs not win more?
