He can certainly afford to keep it. While the NFL loves to recycle coaches, especially overrated ones, I'm not convinced there was actually any demand for Tomlin as a HC. It's pretty easy for anyone to look at his last 10-15 years and conclude the only thing he truly accomplished was because of Cowher's coaches and players.

Rumors that he's a hot TV prospect are still swirling. Only requires you to fly out to the location 1-2 days a week.

So this was what I was wondering about during the season if he were to leave in the fashion it happened. How will Steeler Nation treat him in the future.

Did he need to go? Yea.

Does he need to be booed when he walks out on the field during the 2008 25th anniversary of winning the SB reunion game? No.

Will Steelers fans do it like Bulls fans booed Jerry Krause's widow? Probably and just like when that happened it will be pathetic
