Like this pick.
The Steelers traded with the Seattle Seahawks to move up, giving the Seahawks the 99th overall pick (third round) and the 216th overall pick (sixth round). The Steelers took the Seahawks spot at 96th overall

I believe Dunker was a Wilding, choking out intruders in season 4 of Game of Thrones...
I like the Wilding pick...
Building the OL for that young future QB.
Troy -LT
Wilding-LG
Frazier - C
McCormick -RG
Anchor - RT
That's alot of yutes
5 guys 25 and under...
Cook - swing T. 28 years old
Hoffman - G/ C 26 years old
7 game day active OL?
Or 8 guys get a helmet..... which Spencer Anderson probably gets

I feel better about this pick than I did last night he does have an issue with getting out of his stance/intial step but he’s got wrestler leverage. What I saw and didn’t care for was him being a count late with feet or to use his hands and it making it look like he wasn’t strong enough. Hopefully coaching can get his hands and feet working together—could be a great pick with his demeanor.

Tomlin PC 1/11/25 -“Don't blink. If you're a blinker cut your eyelids off"

Love this pick I see a 10 year starter.
Iowa puts out well coached players high character and hard working this guys going to maul people and quickly become a fan favorite.

In the DAT, Dunker went 63rd, which i think is fair.
And…
Iheanachor 38th (vs 21 by the steelers)
Germie 63rd (vs steelers trading up to 47 for him)
Allar 150th (vs steelers taking him 76th)
Everette 105th (vs steelers taking him 85th)
Honestly Dunker and Heidenreich might be the only non-reaches after starting with 12 picks.

I think this is BS since people are basing value on a what a bunch of draft-niks think vs the actual draft. THe NFL teams set the value of the players in the draft What you and I think about WHERE they should be drafted is shit compared to where they were actually drafted.Mick wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2026 3:17 amIn the DAT, Dunker went 63rd, which i think is fair.

I and all of the internet think Rubio is a UDFA but from now until they write his obituary he is a 6th round choice. At this point you are trying to see if the players live up to the value of that choice.

Right. I mean, sure, you can bitch about drafting a future HOFer in the 4th when he would have lasted until the 6th, but it's really just a numbers game. 1 stud, 1 decent starter and a role player is about all you need to build a team solely through the draft. I don't care where you draft those guys, but that is basically "break even" in the draft.jebrick wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2026 12:18 pmI think this is BS since people are basing value on a what a bunch of draft-niks think vs the actual draft. Hit on just your first 2 picks in the draft, add a role players somewhere, and you're more than likely consistently above average.

I think the problem is that the consensus board generally outperforms individual teams' boards on the whole.
I.e., if you draft based on the consensus rankings, you're generally going to draft better than most teams, or at least the average team.
If you're consistently "reaching" and drafting players a round or two (or three) ahead of where the consensus has them, it becomes much, much more difficult and unlikely to have a home run draft.
I think the Steelers draft decisions this year were very questionable. But if we can get 2-3 starters out of it and a couple of good role players? That's a great draft.

Is that all we’re gonna hope for even with 10 picks [originally 12] 2-3 starters and maybe some role players?
Are we that conditioned we expect the tired old Rooney business as usual ‘accept mediocrity’ and like it process?
