Vick to meet with Steelers
Re: Vick to meet with Steelers
We were not going to find a QB on the waiver wire that could carry us if Ben gets hurt, so I don't care about this signing.
I wish we had waited to find a better backup center.

This is a "yawn" signing. If Ben goes down long term season will be done no matter who your back up q.b. is.
1. Washed up q.b.
2. Turn over prone.
3. Injury prone.
4. Dog killer.
5. Herpes (Hopefully they put his locker next to Cam Thomas to contain the virus as much as possible, don't want a Browns mersa situation effecting Ben, Bell, or Brown.)
6. Used "Ron Mexico", should have gone with something a little more classy like" Sammy Singapore", or more low key like " Karl Khazakistan"

I am with you on dogs but I FUCKING HATE the Vick signing. Fuck Vick. Fuck Tomlin and anyone else that had a say on this. First time I have ever been truly disappointed in this organization. If he plays, I will root against him and the team which will also be a first for me.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
The team has two more preseason games and a bunch more practices to boot before Game 1 against the Patriots. You don't go into that scenario with only Ben (who's probably/hopefully not going to play much until Foxboro) and Laundry as your only QBs.This isn't big news until Vick makes the 53.
I agree with the statement that the QB search, along with OL depth and hopefully kicker, isn't over yet.

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

I'd rather play the odds with any other QB, even if it means we lose, than have Vick on the team.
Vick was punished for his crime, I'd rather win with criminals, than lose with choir boys. Vick killed some dogs, so what? He didn't kill humans.
You are really fucking pissing me off. Yes, I eat meat. Yes, I realize that involves killing animals. I eat meat to survive. We are NOT just talking about Vick killing animals, we are talking about the fucking sadistic cruelty that went into the killing of the dogs for no reason but for his fucking enjoyment. It's beyond just the killing of dogs, it's the vile, heinous actions that went into it just for his enjoyment.
I'm sorry, but you are WRONG to act like what he did was "no big deal" because he "only killed dogs" and not humans. Anyone that can inflict that level of cruetly on a living being just for their own enjoyment? Vick can go to hell.
And spare me the "he did his time" argument. Yeah, okay, he gets to walk free among us, and he gets to go back to making millions of dollars playing football. Doesn't mean I have to agree that he was punished nearly enough, doesn't mean I have to want him on my team.

Amen brother. I've lost respect for Tomlin, Colbert and the Rooneys. How do you justify cutting a great WR in his prime for getting high and then signing this sorry excuse for a human being. I guess the Rooneys are too busy counting their money to worry about the integrity of the team anymore.

Definitely before. Don't want him winded when he takes a shot a Vick.

If the implication is that Harrison is as bad as Vick because he hit a woman, while I don't condone the hitting of women, I disagree.

Well it's very weird to think the Michael Vick is one snap away from being the Steelers starting QB, but that's what it is. How Much does Vick have left in the tank? Hopefully alot.

I can't believe they signed this piece of shit. This fuck didn't just kill dogs, he tortured them. Drowning, slamming them against the ground until they died. Fuck him and any asshole who defends him.
If Ben would have been charged and convicted I wouldn't want him on the team either. I have no problem with Santonio, or with James either, who was basically trying to protect his son. Vick is a sociopath. I am so pissed he is a Steeler. I was so excited for this year and this has completely ruined it for me.

Good signing though he will have some real catching up to do with the system.I think LJ has shown signs of improvement but Vick can win in a pinch with our roster, I personally think he is an upgrade to Grad.
