Steelers should've beaten this team even if it was held at 3am on Mars.
Laughing...so true but it helps me cope just to blame NBC. Boomer E. Started down the path of questioning why the emo let down games, but Cowher short circuited it.

Maybe next year we can field a NFL-level defense and stop making the dregs of the NFL backup QBs look like all pros against us.
Maybe next year our 110 million dollar QB can play like it when all the marbles are on the line against a shit, bottom feeding team.
you right...we exspect shit defense..but the running game plan in 1st half was unreal..and the ben throwing shit show was unfathomable..these bums deserve to sit and stew.. only guy who played was Williams.

I'm pretty sure the Cincinnati game two weeks ago was a 1pm start.

I thought he could have run harder on some of the short yardage situations. The 4th down at the beginning of the game he went down like he was made of water.

First series each side: Eschew points, get your kicker involved instead run what they're expecting. Their first series Blake on left side with 10 yard cush. Media put us in SB, team must have believed it. Drafting 20th?

He Needs to go for The FG at that point. But i don't believe we blame DW . But a stupid predictable play call is the issue.

It was a long developing, counter with a deep handoff. A short quick hitter going north-south much better play call in that situation.
Another big play was Marty catching a 2nd down quick screen, with blockers in front of him. Instead of putting his head down, run north and south down the sideline and pick up some good yardage and an easy 1st down, he dances arounds. We shit the bed on 3rd down and then punt.

And burned a timeout in the process. This was definitely not Bryant's finest work. He's a specimen but he has a ways to go to polish his game.

I know...but was just hoping for a bounce out or something...punish someone. Think he got a little impatient on a couple of runs. Castro got demolished and Heath wasn't able to hold his block. Mid LB looked like a d-lineman a second after the snap.

I think Foster was supposed to pull and block. But he tripped because he is obese. That said, I don't agree with a playcall on a key down that asks Foster to pull.

In the end, this loss really highlighted the deficiencies of the team. Coaches, players, etc. This team is somewhere between what was the denver win and this loss to the ravens. It also defined the emotional state that is the steelers. Sometimes great, sometimes bad. Sometimes too big of a head.
Bryant isn't as good as everyone thought
AB is good but is as good as his QB is.
Butler as a coach is what he is with the starters he has
Tomlin leads the team emotionally and rides whatever wave the team provides
BR isn't the second coming of jesus. The 100 million dollar man is not 100 million dollar man all the time.
If they make it to the playoffs. . .Great. But they will eventually show what they are. WIn or lose.
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Look RON, Ben's gut did not lose the game. Ben's bad decisions contributed mightily.

Empty numbers for Williams so I don't care.
Those first half rushing numbers were worthless.
Those two 2nd half TD's were set up with the passing game.
Throw. The. Football. On. First. Down.

I agree. Fat Foster tripped over Wallace who was shoved three yards in to the backfield. Watch our O-line on the play, they were flopping around on the ground like fish out of water. Villanueva got knocked back on his ass, and DD got his butt handed to him. The Rats knew exactly what was coming and attacked the LOS. They had 3-4 guys in the backfield...DW had no chance.
Most coaches in a less than a yard to go situation, will just play straight ahead, power football. But no... not our cutesy, wootsy braintrust.
NHALS = NFL purgatory
