Steelers vs Browns Wild Card Playoff Game Comments
Re: Steelers vs Browns Wild Card Playoff Game Comments
Damn the Clowns have two beastly RBs, just punishing and laughing all the time at it.

If Fichtner is kept I'll have an anger stroke.

But the streak continues next season
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

2018 against San Diego. Three starting OL out and I think they started two that were in street clothes the week prior. We lost that game and missed the playoffs that year.
Mike Tomlin, everyone.

A real safety picks that and goes the other way.

He’s fucking retarded.

They shouldn't have been in a position to fail.
Personally I let the HOF QB decide the season but that's just me.
The one thing I am not sure about...there does seem to be an awful amount of holding. Makes it a bit easier to be able to run if you can hold linemen.

Edmunds is so bad at using his hands. They just lets his right hand hang by his side.

This is much much worse given the stakes.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:16 amOh this has happened before.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:15 amThe Browns Ol who were missing many guys beat us up. Tomlin tomorrow we were not physical enough

For a HC that claims to make decisions based on the "flow of the game", you think he would have recognized that when he punted like a pussy on two huge 4th and shorts.

Does the surrender index account for how shitty an offense is in short yardage? That has to factor in, as does the fact that the defense was really starting to look hot at the time.tunch wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:13 amPIT decided to punt to CLE from the PIT 46* on 4th & 1* with 14:52 remaining in the 4th while losing 23 to 35.W&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:09 amYour argument ignores how bad they have been at short yardage all season long AND has the benefit of seeing that the defense ended up shitting the bed on the next possession. If they were stopped on 4th, you'd be calling Tomlin a retard for going for it. I can see bashing the call to punt from the 38. I think this punt was defensible in context.
With a Surrender Index of 9.29, this punt ranks at the 94th percentile of cowardly punts of the 2020 season, and the 92nd percentile of all punts since 2009.

I've always advocated going for it harder than anyone else on this board and I have never criticized Tomlin's aggressiveness because he's *never* been over-aggressive.
I take back what I said about your position if you've been consistent. Personally I think either going for it or punting would have been understandable.

Shit. Ben and Pouncey fucked the dog. The coaches fucked the dog. The whole team failed us.

Tomlin 3-3 on bad decisions. Not challenging that catch on 3rd down, punting twice in short fourth and go situations down big. He should get fired.

Blake Bortles game!
Comeback almost complete. Just need 2 TDs and 2 2-point conversions in 4.5 minutes.

I think the Steelers should fire Tomlin and hire this Browns special teams coordinator. He's pretty good, don't you think?

I have to wonder if he got the job because he's buddies with Ben.
Ben's on the last year of his contract next year - no reason to keep him happy. Overhaul this offense.
It doesn't matter who OC is if Tomlin is back

This game is almost eerie similar to the Jags loss.
Tomlin once again has his troops overlooking the opponent.
What else is new?
Fucking clown show this guy.
