How big was that Reed trade?

I mean this defense is still very good with Watt out. But the offense can’t hide in the shadows anymore.

Mitch gets one more go then it’s Kenny time. Fuck it, we’ll do it live!
Potentially huge on the bolded.

Keeps me engaged in the possibility of making the playoffs and maybe shockingly winning a playoff game (with the possibility of Watt making it back this season).

That defense we saw yesterday was a playoff defense.

Much in common with the way the season started in Buffalo last year minus the Watt injury... a season that resulted in a playoff birth.

Jesus, this guy can’t even slam the door on a season ending injury.

Can we ever just win and enjoy it. Fucking maddening. Every game, even wins, are soul sucking battles to the death. My God, all they needed was one 1st down after the 4th down stop. What do they do? Offensive Line gets Najeh killed, happy feet misses a pass, run 16 seconds off the clock, setting up the drive where our best player is injured probably for the season.

Just so stupid.
You're not used to this? Under both Tomlin and Cowher, we have experienced this so many, many times. It would take me the rest of the day to enumerate every win like that since 1992.

How much do we trust Jonathan Jones? He's tweeting league sources, partial tear, needs to sit a month or so, but unconfirmed by the PS.

Steelers Wire reported it but think they got it from Jonathan Jones. Never heard of him.

I don't think any of us has experienced it with a +5. The Venn diagram for nail biters intersecting with +5 takeaway nail biters would look like two circles touching! One big circle, and then one dinky circle representing 1 event for the Steelers!

Chris Spielman basically had his arm hanging off his body by a thread. Tj can play through it.

2nd and 3rd opinions apparently to be sought before undergoing season ending surgery.

Let me reword that

Getting 2nd and 3rd opinions to see if surgery is necessary.

It's certainly the more positive spin.

What no one is commenting about is that if Watt wants a second or third opinion to make sure that rehabbing with no surgery will cause permanent injury. I'm sure he is trying to safeguard his future as well.

Baltostiller,

I think you hit the nail on the head. Sometimes rehab without surgery doesn't heal correctly and you might have more limited range of motion or less strength because of it. I'm sure this is why they are going with the 2nd and 3rd. I think the first opinion was just rehab it and he wants to make sure it is the right thing to do (and consistent with his insurance policy as well).

PFT and NFL network saying surgery NOT needed and he will return this season.

Best case scenario it looks like
