Yet another Tomlin Fuck up at the end of the first half
That third down play was far from a sure thing Rogers Arthur Smith should’ve called a time out of Tomlin wasn’t gonna do it
Got lucky with the play but still fucked everything up not one throw and a chance for a touchdown before the end of the first half

Exactly, have y’all not been watching the Steeler defense all year. Playing keep away was smart there imo.
We all know Tomlin sucks at clock management. My hope is Rodgers has figured that out by now and starts taking this into his own hands when he is on the field.

Tomlin’s clock management puts enormous extra unneeded stress to be perfect because you know you are only getting one or 2 shots at the end zone with his T-Rex philosophy.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 7:33 pmI'm ok with not calling the to. The next play just didn't pan out. Rodgers needed to throw it away.
3 points better than no points
Nobody wants to make mistakes and everyone presses to be perfect when there is zero need to put the team in that type of mindset and environment!
That is why his clock management is ridiculous!
seems the current team is ...
we win turnover battle we mostly win
we lose turn over battle we lose
it's even we lose
we win turnover battle we mostly win
we lose turn over battle we lose
it's even we lose

That's 3 times I counted throwing the ball short of the sticks on 3rd or 4th down. 2 times they picked up the 1st anyway with RAC.
The 4th down pass to the 1 yard line was very close to 1st down yardage. Too close to tell, but Washington would have fallen forward if he had caught the ball.

What in gods green earth are you talking about?Sir Lambert wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 7:36 pmI kind of think Tomlin did the right thing with time. If they had been stopped and kicked a fg, they were going to play defense in a way that would let the Colts at least get a fg before halftime. So maybe it's better to kick a fg on the last play of the half.
If they went into half with no timeouts left then fine, but they went into half with an unused timeout!
That means they didn’t maximize their chances to score more points, which is the biggest problem with this team under Tomlin; they do not maximize their chances to score more points, they play safe stupid bullshit and it often results in losses

Of course he has figured it out, but it doesn’t remove the figurative yoke on the mind of Rogers and the rest of the team. You can’t measure the negative effects his fucking ridiculous clock management and conservative philosophy has on the team.

Let’s see if we get the standard first drive of the 3rd quarter turd burger we usually lay here
i think smith has called decent game
but tomlins desire to hold the ball at the end overrules smith
all that said - this game is all colts shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly
it's not likely to continue
so if steelers come out and try to win i think they get this one
if they try and "hold on" they will lose

it's not mismanagement - it went exactly how he wants it to go. use up all the time, get a fg, have one shot at a TD ... they is the priority in exactl orderLakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 7:41 pmOf course he has figured it out, but it doesn’t remove the figurative yoke on the mind of Rogers and the rest of the team. When they had a 1st at the 30 with 57 seconds left, they were already within Boz' range. The fact that they continued to play small ball told you all you needed to know.... the goal was to bleed the clock and play for 3.

DL is plugging the rush lanes so far today.
Darrius Slay goes into the locker room every game, yet somehow always comes back.

4 for 4 on 4th down is just embarrassing. Stop one of those and it’s a different game

Excellent defense there

Daniel Jones can operate a well-coached O that is running snoothly. he cannot adjust, make plays outside the scheme and handle pressure.
highsmith and watt are good at that looping rush off the edge and jones just walks into it - he has no awareness
but steelers are doing a good job of stopping. taylor without commitment big numbers to it

A-Rod gunned that one, and Washington was up to the task for an adjustment. Wow!

What’s the streak of 7 or less points in the 1st quarter again? 58? 59?
Washington just needs to box out the DB and then it's basically an automatic completion
Awful fucking call.

Mt. Washinton's hands are like Bettis' feet. Unusually gifted for such a large man.
