Championship Weekend
Re: Championship Weekend
The NFCCG didn't come down to the QBs. The difference in the game was that TB got pressure on Rodgers and Green Bay didn't on Brady. Packer's OTs were terrible.
Offensive lines matter. Belichick understood that and invested heavily in his lines. We just do what we do.

I've lost a little respect for McDermott today. Tall order, but in their position against the defending SB champs you have to make some gutsy calls.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:12 amIf Buffalo punts here, we’ll know it’s William & Mary.

No argument here.Havoc wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 1:19 amNo of course not.
Jordan wouldn't be the GOAT in many eyes if he didn't play with Pippen & Co and coached by Phil Jackson.
Takes a team to win a championship, even in basketball.
Not meant to take anything from Brady who, if someone wants to call him the GOAT QB, I'm not going to argue. 6 rings + all those prolific offenses. Plus doing what he's doing at his age. Brady is sports greatness at the highest level.

If Mike Tomlin would just watch the championship games and copy every single short yardage and goal line play, the Steelers would actually look competent.

SB rap is going to be fire. Chukki Okobi is still the greatest Steelers rapper of all time.
Would we be able to execute them?Steelperch wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:17 amIf Mike Tomlin would just watch the championship games and copy every single short yardage and goal line play, the Steelers would actually look competent.

Just a brutal INT.
Bills playing against the clock, and losing, and there's the game....
"We, as an offensive collective were off today, and certainly, he's a component of that,"
Allen's poise has been... well, awful tonight. Definitely looks like he let the moment get the best of him, which is understandable. Mahomes and KC playing with a championship confidence the Bills just don't have.

Allen's been feeling pressure at times that's just not there. Either rolling out too early or backpedaling for no reason, which gives his OTs no shot of protecting him.
Bills certainly not ready for prime time and not in KCs league...yet.

KCs defense has been outstanding tonight. Crazy looks; lineman standing up, shifting around, blitzes from all over. Just total commotion.
Meanwhile Steelers defense in the playoffs will continue to do what they do.

The two most selfish players in recent team history get a shot at a ring in the same year.
What will the line on Chiefs/Bucs be?
I think it should be Chiefs -6, but the Brady bump will have it at around Chiefs -4.

Well...either Le’veon Bell or Antonio Brown is going to have a ring.
Yippee.

On the plus side, Bell's ring will probably get stolen by a crack whore.
But there's something that just isn't right about a guy getting cut for performance and attitude ending up with a ring when the SB champs pick him up as a backup's backup.

Steelers have always hired defensive oriented Head Coaches. The league has changed, offense rules the day now. Next HC needs to be a young creative offensive mind. Doubt Rooney can change though.

Maybe AB's knee keeps him out, and then Bell doesn't see a snap. One of them gets a ring, but doesn't touch the ball.BouldernBun wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:33 amNeither one of them will matter. Well..at least Bell. We will see about AB. Rings for being there.

The KC play design is so good that they are able to scheme open the best player in the world at his position. Wide open, in fact. In the redzone, no less.
Contrast that to what the Steelers do. Night and day.

By this criteria I should have gotten a ring for being at XIVKodiak wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:35 amMaybe AB's knee keeps him out, and then Bell doesn't see a snap.
