They're fully capable of losing 1, possibly 2, of those first 3. And equally capable of winning 2+ of the latter.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 9:22 pmBrowns
Bengals
Dolphins
One against Chargers, Bears, Lions or Bills gets NHALS
Plus one against Ravens x2 wins division and gets Tomlin an extension
The quest for 9-8 is going to be a real pillow biter
Why not convinced the Steelers can win in the post season, they do have the horses to do so, if this coaching staff can put together competent and good game plans.
I hope this thing with Rodgers’ finger doesn’t linger (I did not intentionally rhyme that.)
He was really off today.
He was really off today.

They were embarrassed vs Cincinnati, then got humbled by a lesser-than-Colts Packers.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 9:12 pmSometimes they just don't match up well I guess. How can you show zero life on defense, no ability to stop the run, no pass rush, then do this?
They were about a million times less passive vs the Colts than they were vs CIN or GB.

It's a mediocre team with a mediocre staff. They will, on occasion, surprise...in both directions. Although, I think there's actually above average talent on this team. This team underachieves BECAUSE OF "the schemes".

I didn’t watch the game.
Was it really a +6 in turnovers? Well, that explains the final score.
WTF is this sorcery? Patriots turned the ball over 5 times? Now the Colts?
MAKE THIS END!

Chargers don’t look great, have no running game, and Steelers fans will take over that stadium. They may fuck around and win that one too.
steelers will steal one somewhere and they will also lose one to browns bengals or dolphins
ravens and steelers will both be 9-7 for that final game - winners gets divisions s loser goes home

I'd have to look at the box score, but I thought IND turned it over 6X and PIT 1X....so +5CoolShades wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 10:05 pmWas it really a +6 in turnovers? Well, that explains the final score.

Tomlin has two years left on his deal so there's virtually no chance he's fired after this season.
That said, 9-8 and no playoffs (thus no record-setting humiliation streak) is his best chance to keep his job.
what I saw was - instead of stepping up in pocket and/or calling some quicker passes, jones kept drifting backwards right into the path of the two edges - seemingly oblivious to itbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 9:46 pmI guess. Steelers are traditionally awful on the West Coast and I don't think Tomlin has ever beaten Jim.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 10:08 pmChargers don’t look great, have no running game, and Steelers fans will take over that stadium. They may fuck around and win that one too.

If you didn't know better, you'd think Jones and/or their OC had money on PIT.
But that's ridiculous.

Report from the stadium, first game in 6 years.
About 80% full. It was gorgeous fall weather, nice temps, why not?
First quarter plenty of boos to be heard (I admit, I was among them).
I still can't believe how poorly the offense played and yet still managed to eek out a win. Well, on any given Sunday...

Roman Wilson tried to jump over a tackle. Roman Wilson fumbled the ball while doing so. I've been seeing people say that it was foolish to jump, because fumble...
Do players fumble more often when they are jumping over opponents than when they run directly into the opponents? I would think it would be the other way around, but I don't know the statistics.
Does anyone recall ever seeing a player fumble while jumping over an opponent before today?
