The blame should go squarely on the head cheerleader
Time for. New head coach
His time is up

Wow...Mike Mitchell was trash-talking?
He needs to be gone now.
Actually he needs to seek psychiatric help because his taunting shows he is completely disassociated from reality.

Because your head coach is a fucking dumbshit. No Real Coach would allow the inmates to run the asylum. Rooney is the biggest dumbshit for allowing a dumbshit full of himself head coach that couldn't coach his way out of a divisional playoff game already having played the opponent once this year. What a fucking dumbshit. His players all have mouths and talk a lot of shit but do nothing to back up any of it. Win a goddamn super bowl and then talk your shit. Or better yet just shut the fuck up and do your job quietly and humbly. Oh No, you gotta act like your dumbshit coach who thinks his shit don't stink. Well you all sure stunk it up today. Y'all can go fuck yourselves...

Watch Tomlin's presser.
He started by including coaching as a problem....but the rest of the presser was all execution and he was comfortable with all his calls.
It's disappointing.

Mitchell trash talks outside the Jags locker room pregame. Clown. And he can't locate a ball Haden tips up. Looked like he zoned out. Way to to walk the tak.
Loose lips sink ships.

What coach lets a player go talk shit outside the opponents dressing room before the game? I bet Belichek benches him for something like that. Tomlin probably just ignored it.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

All reports coming the last two weeks indicated that the team was focused.
There was very little trash-talking from what I heard...at least until Bell’s tweet came out.
It was on this basis that I made my “zero doubts” comment earlier in the week.
I had thought the lessons of the Facebook Live crap and other things had been learned. The results of this season seemed to reflect that.
Now I see it never went away...the inmates running the asylum is STILL a problem.
I’d have never made my statement had I known this shit was STILL going on.
Far too many Steelers on this team have no clue of what it takes to win a championship.
They have to be purged...HAVE to be purged...or nothing will change.

Fucking Mike Mitchell over ran a deep throw that quite honestly would have been a pick if he was a real safety. Hell, Haden tipped the pass but the wr still got his hands on the pass. Had the ball been tipped up another two feet, it is highly likely the wr would have made the catch and waltzed in the end zone. Fuck him! Tomlin keeps letting this shit go on - fuck him too. I hated his signing from day 1. He was incredibly over-rated as a defensive coach.

Mike Mitchell and Bud Dupree were the biggest talkers this season. After every game they were front in center in front of the cameras or on social media.
But funny thing is that they also were the ones who performed way below the "standard". This was detailed before in other threads and the when you look at the stats they show exactly that.
Dupree's stats for the season before today. 40 tackles 6 Sacks 1 PD. Sounds ok at best until you realize that his 1 PD came in wk 2 against Minn. His best game was against Hou where he racked up 6 of his 40 tackles. Out of his 6 sacks. He only had 3 sacks after the bye week (week 9) and that includes the playoffs. The claims are that he doesn't get to rush the passer much and is in coverage close to 73% of the time now but he only has1 PD?? That doesn't make much sense. However, "the truth" was quick to go to the media and talk about what Harrison was and was not doing in meetings and practice. He was quick to spit out allegations of this and that and run his mouth on his radio show and social media but his play on the field never matched his mouth. He talked about how he was a big dawg but more often than not he played like a puppy.
Btw - His stats for today 4tkls -3 solo.
Then we come to Mike "motormouth" Mitchell. Mike has been the epitome of bad FA signing as he has steadily regressed since his arrival into the Black & Gold.
Mike is another who loves the press and social media. He thinks of himself as an enforcer and the resident tough guy. The team needed him to be a competent FS and defend the deep field and he failed @ both
Mitchell's stats for the season before today. 53 tkls 0 Sacks 2 PD (1 more than Dupree) and 0int. He regressed big time this year and was a far cry from the 77 tkl 9PD and 1int of last year. Mitchell often overran receivers, took bad angles, misplayed deep balls or was so deep that he arrived too late to do anything but get in the way. There were more than a few games where he actually hindered his own teammate from making the play. Was this due to injuries..quite possibly but if so while keep rolling him out there? Why not at least switch him out w/ Davis and let him play SS instead? Everytime that Motormouth stepped on the field this season he was a liability and did the D no favors with his play. When he was replaced by Wilcox earlier in the year and there was even a slight improvement w/ the safety play.
But there he was screaming for NE again (as much as people were down on Davis not many mentioned Mitchell outta position and never around to help Davis w/ Gronk) and yelling outside the Jags locker room on how they will know his name. He's always good for a sound byte but when it actually comes to making plays on the field he was non-existent.
I pray to God Almighty that both of these guys especially Mitchell are shown the door in the offseason. I know Dupree will be back but I pray that someone is drafted or FA comes in and takes his place and relegates him to ST and his proverbial role as a backup.

Mitchell is Tomlins guy.
How fitting.
Be shocked if they part ways with Mitchell.

I think this kind of shit is more egregious than losing. It makes the team a laughing stock. An arrogant, laughing stock.
Players running their mouths and trash talking without the ability to back it up? awful.
13-3 against weak competition with generational talent at QB, WR and RB is really not all that impressive.
So much drama in that locker room this year, it got played down because the team just kept on winning. Well, now they lost. So what in the fuck is ownership going to do about it?

How many of those wins were against average QB's and in the last seconds? Four?
This team should really be 9-7 and not even had a playoff bye. The only bye they should have had is a bye sitting on the sofa until OTA's.
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Tomlin executed a system created by Dungy in Tampa=he's head coach material. One franchise with a competent roster can only waste so many years...
