Mike Hilton Injury

Post by steelergenie » Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:59 pm

Hope it's not serious. Will need him for the Rats. He had a good game against the Bucs.

MIke Hilton described his elbow injury as a hyperextension and thinks he can play Sunday vs. Baltimore

The damned MNF coverage was god awful. Player writhing in pain and got absolutely no update or replay. Booger to busy playing with his remote control camera, and Witten and whoever the other guy was too busy talking about Bell and promos during an exciting game. What an awful ESPN crew. I think they fired one too many people in their latest purge at Bristol.

Saw late last night that Hilton referred to it as a hyperextension. We'll see.

Tomlin will probably give an update at his conference today.

the "significant" comment made by Tomlin was at the presser.

Didn't seem to have much info at that time other than "will be evaluated" and that they'll have more at today's noon presser

Hilton couldn't even raise his arm on the sidelines.

He kept his arm close to his side when he was headed to the locker room.

It's safe to say he isn't going to be around for a good long while.

He kept bugging T to go back in. He's got some heart. We could use more of those.

Not true

I messed up my elbow playing hockey and about 1 hour afterwards it locked up on me. Essentially stuck at a 90 degree angle
Went to the ER, got a steroid shot iced it and I was back playing the following week

Just depends on the severity

Exactly, elbows can be tricky. It wouldn't surprise me if he played next week, either. If he did hyperextend it, it depends if there's structural damage. From the sounds of it, my guess is no damage. Recovery could be just a week and probably no longer than 3-4, tops. Fingers crossed.

I sure hope you guys are right and Hilton doesn't miss much time.

I hyper-extended my elbow wrestling, but never missed a match. Mine wasn't bad though, as I could tell, he was in some major pain. My guess is that when he landed, he put out his arm and it is hyper-extended pretty bad with all of the momentum he had. It would definitely effect the flex of his arm and I doubt he would be able to reach high with it to bat a ball away.

That being said, a one-armed Hilton is better than a two-armed Burned Cooty.
