Could the Steelers be in the market?

Post by Steelafan77 » Tue Jan 07, 2020 11:53 am

@sonofbum
I have been informed by the Rams that my contract will not be renewed.
I want to thank them for the opportunity to be a part of their success the last 3 years. Most of all I want to thank the players who I loved workings with. I still want to coach and feel I can contribute. https://twitter.com/sonofbum/status/121 ... 32012.html
I'd certainly kick the tires on Wade.... what say you fury/ Steeler fans?

Defensive coordinator would be a great position to create for him. Butler can be full time OLB coach or Walmart greeter...whichever fits better.

Doubt it would happen, but the Son of the Bum would be a great addition to our staff.

Is it in his blood? The steelers-oilers rivalry was fierce. Would he abandon his loyalty?
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Nope

Jibbs has a perfect situation. He’s the de facto DC so he gets to run the show over Butler who is DC in name only and is really just the LB coach.

If the D lays an egg Jibbs can then fire Butler as the scapegoat if it gets really bad.

He’s not bringing in a name guy to run his defense.

Plus, now that virtually every position has been stocked with 1st rounders the D will be on a bit of cruise control.

A change to a name DC will occur when we don’t have premium talent at every position and Tomlin gets exposed again. He will then fire Butler and then bring in someone to save his ass.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 85 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

They need to be 58. This defense was already full of 1st, 2nd, 3rd RND'er talent. Example: The fact that it took 5 years for Dupree to have a consistently good season reaching his potential, says enough to me. Porter was a piece of shit buddy. The whole buddy system that Tomlin enables is bullshit. That goes for his other buddies, fichtner and butler. None should be safe. Yet here we are talking about who we'd fire and we'll still see the same fuckheadsa standing on the sidelines. Danny Smith included. Unbelievably stupid process that continues to cost this teams future. Like standing back to watch a trainwreck....

I would love to see what Wade could do with our players. While he's at it, maybe he could bring his FA ILB, Littleton, with him. I mean, if we're going to spend $6M a year an ex-Ram ILB (Marc Barron :roll: ) I'd much rather it be a really good one like Littleton.
