Pens vs Islanders (2/6/21)

Letang, Marino, and Matheson will all be game time decisions.

So the Pens pregame Sully is talking(again) about the team working on moving bodies during the PP. Believe it when I see it.

Eberle killing us again.

The second goal was pure shit by the Penguins. Zucker lost a board battle at the red line then Kapanen skated around like he didn't want any part of any Islander. He literally gave no effort in his own end.
Eberle was parked in front of the net forever and Matheson and Marino took turns tripping over themselves and the Islanders had an easy goal.

Joseph continues to impress with a nice goal.

The Pens played a good period but another breakdown costs them.

Jarry really kept us in the game even though the Pens controlled play more than the Islanders did. He made three or four great saves and the Count was equally good.

Nice to score a goal late in a period. Malkin with the nice strip and TKA and Kapanen fed him perfectly and we are tied 2-2.

Shoot high on the Count's glove hand. Where have I heard that before?

Look where the Islanders scored all their goals. Right in front of the net because that is where the Pens frequently have their breakdowns.

I'm starting to think that coaching is a primo problem with this team. They got rid of the 'dead weight' in the offseason but those changes have NOT made one bit of difference.

Agreed. Front of the net is a free for all right now. You aren’t going to win hockey games if it’s that easy for teams to score against you.
