I don't think I would, but it made me think long about it. It's a bit too rich for me.

The Rooneys and their underlings have extinguished all joy I had about this team and the NFL

I’m not gonna sit around watching games that are largely farcical in regards to their legitimacy as stepping stones towards a successful future outcome

The script and the outcome are always the same

Field a weak and poorly constructed team

Guarantee the mediocre outcome surrounding the team with poor coaching scouting and vision

Hype it up while preying on the addicted fan base’s drug addled attachment to false hope

Throw it all in the crock pot of slow death and take the lid off after 18 - 20 weeks

Serve that unholy slop to the slowly starving and withering fans who have no choice but to try to survive on poisonous and meager wait til next year bait and switch machinations that offer yet again the emptiest of calories with zero real nutritional value

Fuck this team

FUCK YES I would make that trade, even knowing Waddle won't see many targets in this offense.

He's a game breaking level talent and could step into a number 1 WR role if DK Metcalf went down.

Highsmith is beyond replaceable. I might include Roman Wilson in that deal because I think he'd thrive in Miami's current offense (even though the GM, head coach and very likely QB will soon be gone) and is obviously going to be under utilized in an Arthur Smith offense going forward, especially if Waddle came to Pittsburgh.

Oh and also Alex Highsmith blows.

I’m generally on the side of don’t make a big trade for a number two wide receiver in this system

But, for waddle, I begin to ponder it

I thinkI’d be more inclined to package Highsmith and Roman Wilson if possible to reduce the required draft capital

Because as you say, even though he’s only gonna get a few targets, he’s a player

Waddle would be a welcomed addition to say the least.

I’m thinking IF Miami was interested it would be Highsmith and a 2026 2nd day pick.

The problem I see with this move is, phins already have similar players to Highsmith in Chubb/Judon who may be better.

To me, Highsmith isn’t tradeable at his age with his limited skillset to a team that has similar players already.

Who replaces Highsmith? Herbig? Is Herbig capable? How would this move help to improve this struggling defense?

Wilson just started getting to the field and improving he just needs time to develop. The skill set is there.

Developing receivers it seems is a lost art in Pittsburgh anymore.

Not like it used to be when they had receivers growing on trees in Pittsburgh.

Priority, We Need secondary help. This defense is weakest in the secondary between the has been ancient players and injuries….

I’d trade anyone on this team.

What we really need is for Boz to tear an ACL on our sloppy turf.

Now that Benji is gone he is the one most responsible for securing NHALS.

Lose Boz and watch those close games we pull out start going the other way.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 82 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Awful throw and phenomenal catch.

I texted this to Highsmith before the game, FYI.
