Doorslammers

1. Payton Wilson - best game as a pro. Looked like an All-Pro out there. Played with his pants on fire all day and I think it bled over to his teammates. Fought so freaking hard out there and was all over the field. Easy choice for MVP today.

2. Atheism.

Alex Highsmith gets an honorable mention. And although there were long stretches of nothingness from TJ, his strip sack turned the game around.

In 2 years he will be fully integrated into the offense.

Never happens if not for Rodgers.

I still say Washington is a #2 TE. But he's one hell of a #2. If Sonnu wasn't largely a disappointment, and Muth kind of falling off a cliff, they'd have something.

The TJ Strip sack was def the play of the game. Colts were on their way to making it 14-0.

And I think CA III deserves a door slammer too. He's a legit# 2 receiver, especially when the .#1 doesn't do shit ( 2 catches, 6 yards)

Not even an honorable mention for Keanu Benton?

He's a #1 TE. He's the best blocking TE in the NFL, the team wins when he plays the most snaps, and he's old school in the passing game. He's not a fantasy player, but that doesn't have anything to do with being a #1.

The league is about mismatches, always has been. Very few players are mismatches for other NFL athletes.

Lamar Jackson is the fastest player on the field, and he plays the QB position and can also throw the ball. Nobody has an answer for that. Myles Garret has DT size and strength and OLB athleticism. Nobody has an answer for that. Calvin Johnson was 6’5 240 and ran a 4.4 with 36” arms could jump like an NBA player. Nobody could cover him.

Darnell Washington has OT size, with TE athleticism and hands. It’s taken us two year to find a way to take advantage of a guy the league can’t handle. He’ll bury a DB or LB as a blocker and nobody can cover his size in the redzone. He is our entire offensive identity right now. That = door slammer.

CAIII really showed out.

Payton Wilson was fantastic.

As Swiss said, the Watt strip sack and recovery completely changed the game. Probably saved the game.

Highsmith was stellar and Heyward got his hands on a few balls and absolutely smoked Jones.

JPJ made up for some bad handsy coverage with a huge INT. Saves Roman Wilson’s bacon so I hope Roman bought him a beer.

Oh and Darnell Washington is a MONSTER.

Porter Jr has a reputation with the refs. I swear half of the Pi calls he gets are absolute bullshit. The one today the receiver ran into him and pushed off, he grabbed an arm as a response then let go. That shouldn’t be a penalty.

I'm kinda agreeing on JPJ... he made that bed himself, but the refs need to call it as it actually happens.

Jaylen turned in a lunchpail hardnose effort. It's nice to see consistent positive yardage from a Steelers RB.

He averaged under 2 yards p carry

While Warren is a better back, in general, this offense needs a Najee Harris to pound inside.
