Rock. Bottom.
They reached it today. That 2nd half was worse than I imagined it would be. I know what they are at this point, but they went a few more rungs down into the pit of despair than I thought was possible. Someone on here said that this MIGHT be the game that ultimately gets Tomlin fired (I prefer the term "traded for picks"..lol) and maybe that is so.
He looked like sad Eeyore on the sidelines today.
I know this isn't an All Star team they are fielding each week,,,but there IS some talent on this team and most of it would benefit from an actual scheme, planning and innovative assistant and head coaches. Other teams do this....
If they fire Tomlin tomorrow, my interest in the Steelers would rise significantly...a new hope , a new horizon is badly needed and called for.
One of the few joys watching this game was seeing Mt. Washington plough through defenders who often make a business decision not to get into his way. You take your happiness where you can find it if you are a fan of the Steelers in this late Tomlin era.

Rooney is gonna extend Tomlin this off-season. We’ve got further to fall. The ballwashers will still be here talking playoff scenarios.
The season isn't over yet!
It's going to be fun to watch.

Do you really believe this or just sarcasm?
I think this really was the dam breaking for Tomlin getting fired, pushed out, told to move on with his life’s work at the end of the season.
Here’s the thing though…..would you really be shocked if they beat Baltimore next week, Miami the following week and after beating Cleveland (which is a given, even for this team), Tomlin got to his precious 9-8?
I won’t be and basically expect it to happen.
However, there is a bright side. 9-8 isn’t going to be enough for this fanbase anymore and Tomlin defenders are nonexistent.
He’s done in Pittsburgh after this season, 9-8 or not.

If they extend Coach T, I can see a thousand yinzers with cutting torches descending on Heinz and cutting that piece of crap down to the ground.

Tomlin very, very possibly could still get to 9-8 this season but it ain’t gonna be enough to save him.
Not after this.

Rooney wants “above the mean”. 9-8 and stability gets Tomlin a lifetime pass. Our only hope is Tomlin looks washed mentally. He may ask to step away.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 12:51 amDo you really believe this or just sarcasm?

Unfortunately, Rooney is not paying Tomlin 40 million dollars not to coach. Trade is unlikely. We're stuck with this asshole for 2 more years.
Tomlin would get a boatload of money to go into the booth. Money won’t be an issue for him. Dude does look like he’s had/seen enough though.Stlcrtn1974 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 12:58 amUnfortunately, Rooney is not paying Tomlin 40 million dollars not to coach. Trade is unlikely. Rock bottom will come in the final game of the season, when they lose to Baltimore's backups at home and finish the season 6-11, which is a real possibility imo because this team does nothing well, other than create turnovers.
Ha, first call in. Fire Tomlin.

Don't forget, Aaron is a coach killer, hopefully he can kill one more before he retires.
This isn't even as close to as low as things can get. Not rock bottom at all. Tomlin is the crackhead who has just progressed from giving handjobs to blowies to get his fix. There's still so much more to come.

I can see them winning at home vs Miami and Baltimore, but losing the rest of the road games. Even cleveland. Tomlin lives in his fears the most there. 1-6 there the last 7 years. The browns defense comes alive at home. Losing to Shedeur will be worse than todays loss.
Frankly, for realists this game is like, I don't l know, Christmas Eve? We can only hope that next week is even worse. We unwrap those presents from Santa Tomlin and get the biggest turd imaginable. I only wish that game was at home and Baltimore could break the record the Bills just set. Back-to-back weeks of that would be...well, it'd be the stuff of my wet dreams.
I've waited for this for well over a decade. I'm one of the OG fuck/fire Tomlin crowd. Seeing all the ballwashers grapple with the reality that he's a fraud and the inability to even keep claiming that he's actually some great coach is pure gold. Only downside is I think Art II is far, far too cheap to actually fire Tomlin on top of the elephant in the room that even non-deplorables recognize is there.

Dude, this team is NOT winning the next 3 games. Rats are gonna have about 300yds rushing, Fins wills score and Myles will have 3-4 sacks to stick it up The Joggers Ass.K_C_ wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 12:53 amHere’s the thing though…..would you really be shocked if they beat Baltimore next week, Miami the following week and after beating Cleveland (which is a given, even for this team), Tomlin got to his precious 9-8?

Speaking of, The Jogger Low Watt has officially mailed it in, Eff that guy. Scam SUCKS and Sand in his Vagina Lowsmith will not be playing as well.
Rogers/Mason are ASS. Jibbs and his Merry band of ClusterEFFS are highly over matched.
Time to see what Howard has so our new HC can evaluate if we should spend a !st on a QB in the '26 draft.

They kind of need to have their season on the line, perfectly healthy, and get curbstomped. Bot even that doesn't seem to help (see last three playoff losses).

He'd better not fire him! Trade his ass, force him to resign, or pigeonhole him into being a figurehead. If you fire him, you get no compensation when he signs elsewhere.CKSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Dec 01, 2025 1:14 amFrankly, for realists this game is like, I don't l know, Christmas Eve? I agree with you that the NHALS is in severe danger but Baltimore isn’t what they were last year and while Miami is playing better, they’re due to come back to earth. Tua always sucks when the weather turns.

Forgot the FIns running game, it's pretty good from the last game I saw.
All the RBs on all the teams in this final run are licking their chops, ready to let it rip.
I can't wait.
