The Norf
At the risk of drawing the ire of the haters who increasingly populate this esteemed website, here's SBI for remaining weeks, hopefully allowing Steelers to clinch the Norf in advance of the finale versus Ravens.
-Root like hell for Bengals to beat Ravens on Sunday!! This is a bigger SBI game than the Steelers Monday nighter. Too bad that Tee Higgins is once again in concussion protocol.
-Should Bengals beat Ravens, Steelers would clinch the Norf in advance of the finalev by beating Browns in Cleveland and either winning one more game (Miami, at Detroit) or Ravens losing one more (New England, at Green Bay).
Should Ravens beat Cinci, but lose next two, Steelers would win norf if beating both Miami and Cleveland.
I think all that's right. At any rate, ravens loss at cinci, Steelers win in Cleveland means Steelers win tie breaker of division record.
Steelers should win common game tiebreaker with win against Miami and ravens losses to pats and packers.
Sooo.... GO Steelers and fuck all you haters once again!!! Steelerhaters.com !!

So when the Steelers win the division at 9-8 and loses in the playoffs, you can taunt disappointed 49ers or Lions fans who miss the playoffs at 12-5. So much to be proud of and look forward to (sarc).

We’re going to finish 8-9, win the division, then get smoked at home against a 44 year old Philip Rivers in the first round of the playoffs.
Then we’ll turn around and sign Rivers to a 2 year deal this offseason after Rodgers retires.
It’s too dumb to not happen.

Sure there's a big difference. And some segments thought it was a joke that that team who started out 0-2, outscored 91-10, had made the playoffs. But like now, can't win if you dont play.955876 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 11:38 pmswissvale72 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 11:22 pmThe Incel dan smith just can't help himself, now posting about Michelle Obama and wanting us to feel bad for Lions fans.Dan Smith--BYU wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 10:51 pmSo when the Steelers win the division at 9-8 and loses in the playoffs, you can taunt disappointed 49ers or Lions fans who miss the playoffs at 12-5. Not sure what's worse . . .
Being a fan of a team that is stuck in the mud. Or being on a team message board that is rooting against the team.
Ok, the first is worse. But the second is also quite grim.
Since y'all know that a) the Steelers will win 8-10 games and b) Tomlin will be here next year, you might as well root for your team to win some games.
Let's go Bengals!

From your lips to gods ears. Make this happen. We'd get the best of both worlds. Tomlin ties Marvin Lewis for playoff futility and NHALS comes to an end in a matter of weeks.Louis Lipps Service wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 11:13 pmWe’re going to finish 8-9, win the division, then get smoked at home against a 44 year old Philip Rivers in the first round of the playoffs.

I'm not going to mock Swiss for trying to make the best of it. His rooting for the Steelers has about as much impact as me rooting against them. It's all in the useless fuck Art II's hands.
Fans do need to boo the fuck out of this team and Tomlin. Don't even care if they win on Monday night. Just make their feelings heard. The standard is the standard and it's a disgrace at this point.

If I paid good money to see the Steelers live, I certainly wouldn't be booing.
I don't think any team deserves to be the division champ with a losing record. If that is possible the NFL needs to rectify that.
And finally, I believe the Steelers win the the division with a 10-7 record and go on to beat whatever team comes play.
Here We Go Steelers and Go Bengals.
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

I'd probably pay more money to go boo Tomlin at this point than to go see them win a Wild Card game. Personally.

I’ll take a Noll coached team that started 0-2 vs a Jibba Jabber coached team that started 11-0.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
I don’t think anyone here is rooting against the team. What we are rooting against is Mike Tomlin so the team can (hopefully) be saved.lifelongsteel wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 11:59 pmNot sure what's worse . . .

I personally don’t want to see us squeak out a wildcard win. Do you? We all know Swiss does.
But then what? Another extension for Jibbs because we finally, after nearly a decade, won a wildcard game?
No thanks. I want him gone sooner rather than later and wins at this point prolong his stay.
A playoff win could very likely lead to another extension.

We know. You are the type of dumb homer that would be cheering a 3rd down conversion (only our 2nd of the game) with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter of a game we are losing 27-3.If I paid good money to see the Steelers live, I certainly wouldn't be booing.
Even better if #88 caught the pass so you can yell MUUUUUUUTH at the top of your lungs for what would likely be his only catch that month.

I'm pulling for this moron to leave the team. Can't stand the sight of him.
How about this team regaining some credibility, some poise, some stature, some power and reputation. Some goddamned dignity.
This asshole was given all of that a pissed it away, then he's blowing kisses after a lucky win to...someone.
What an asshole. I mean, he's beyond Haley and Maddox.

His answer to the presser question - steeped in thinking he's under some sort of microscope. this answer must be about him keeping up appearances. Art loves him, so we think
https://heavy.com/sports/nfl/pittsburgh ... t-message/
Mike Tomlin has been at the helm of the Pittsburgh Steelers franchise since 2007, and though there have been plenty of mediocre seasons mixed in, the longtime head coach has never been on a hotter seat than he is this year.
Tomlin and the Steelers narrowly defeated the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Dec. 7 to regain the AFC North lead, but at 7-6, Pittsburgh isn’t exactly a Super Bowl contender at this junction of the season.
Tomlin was surrounded by chants for his job from Steelers fans after they lost 26-7 to the Buffalo Bills in week 14 to drop to 6-6.
Tomlin’s response?
“Man, I’ve been on the hot seat for 19 years.”
Whether he truly feels that or he was just deflecting the question, the hot seat rumors have certainly been burning this season.

He is incredibly delusional. Maybe he's doing his usual schtick of playing a victim to try to cheaply get sympathy, especially from his constituency, the people that support his sorry ass no matter what.

I can't think of anyone in the NFL as outwardly low-rent, sleazy and corrupt as this chump. Anyone else who was this bad would have been shown the door.
He's like the rich nepot scumbag that gets into power and doesn't relinquish it and shoves it in everyone's face complaining about the people who make something out of themselves and are productive and help others.

You know that acquaintance that does nothing but complain and and only sees what is wrong with his life and is hence impossible to be around? That's Steeler Fury now. (No, the only two options are not blind moronic optimism and incessant bitching.)
As KC has nicely pointed out: the running battle across the threads spearheaded by people triggered by those who do not root for losses is subtarded bc rooting for wins or rooting for losses on a message board does nothing.
Whether Tomlin gets fired by Rooney and the house gets a nice Spring Cleaning is completely out of our hands. What's the point in belittling others for rooting for their team?
Some of you need to find a cat to pet. I've enjoyed watching the games more since I stopped posting here. Quite grim, indeed. I now return to my occasional lurking.

They'll lose to Det and Baltimore
So that makes it another 9-8 year and the division will be up for grabs with us splitting vs Rats. Will come down to other teams
