Cannot freaking wait!
I haven't been this excited for a Pittsburgh sporting event in a while.
Even when the Pens and Steelers have made the playoffs in recent years, everyone knew they weren't going far and they always felt like teams that were on a downward trajectory than and upwards one.
This actually extremely refreshing because I'm going into these playoffs with zero expectations, but still 100% excitement. They were supposed to be in the running for a lottery pick and now they're in the playoffs....and have potential to make a little noise there.
But even if they lose in the first round, I'll be able to finish this season with renewed optimism for next season. And that, right there, is exactly what the Pittsburgh sports scene has been missing for far too long.
