the small framed guy

Not sure if anyone noticed, but that Shazier kid had a pretty nice game.

Yeah its hard to spot him because of his small frame, but he made some nice plays.

Does he get manhandled on occasion by bigger, stronger lineman?

Yes, of course. But his speed and tackling ability were very evident last night.

To the haters, you were wrong about this guy.

Had his best game as a Steeler IMO. Runaway freight train last night.

I hope Shazier does well.....I agree he played well

The Steelers did draft a small framed ILB with cancer.....I hope he stays off IR

Zivco was one of the better posters to ever grace this site....knew ALOT about football and the Steelers.... I consisently sought out and learned from his posts....which ...as all of you know given MY VAST KNOWELDGE is really saying something 8-)

I hope both he and Iron City are unbanned and welcomed back

I didnt always agree with either of them......both brought the goods football wise

The board is better with them

Shazier is Shazier. If he's looking at the ball carrier and is unblocked then he'll make a play. Dong tackles? idk.
So as far as i can tell he isnt being game planned. Regardless he has pulled ahead of Jarvis. Buddy D looks very interesting. I expect he'll be a true force once the doesn't melt between storms. Eventually I think he can switch over to the right side next to Heyward

Wasn't he drafted to help with the athletic TEs like Gronk though? Or am I expecting too much? Size and speed wise, I'd think he could maaaaaaybe help there?

IIRC, FC threw up a red flag on draft day about his lack of coverage skills. Hope he improves.

That means a lot....

I'd throw up a red flag on our entire secondary.

Shazier was probably our best player on d yesterday; I thought gay had a solid game as well. I didn't really see shazier vs gronkowski in coverage, pretty sure gronk was tightly manned up by hole in zone all game.

Jarvis did actually play; if he has a solo tackle next week he'll be on pace to finish the season with almost 10.
