Now the big question mark.

Ben’s arm.

We are outclassed so far. They are more talented and better coached.
The Ravens are not more talented.

10 points isnt much when hou get ball back first in 2nd half. It’s a lot when the other team looks much better than you.

This is a game where Tomlin needs to outcoach his opponent and he’s getting taken to the woodshed.
I have never seen Tomlin outcoach his opponent.
He outcoaches shitty coaches routinely.

If I may stir the pot for a second: That was some shit clock management by the Ravens.
And we still let them score.

They haven't proven they can throw the ball effectively and they should be attacking the run w/ a vengeance but they decide to do more read and react. Ratbirds haven't done much to back them off.

This game is on Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense.

The second half of the Titans game was on Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense.

We should have ZERO points today.
Hard time blaming Ben when his receivers have a fumble and several drops. OC has dogs shit game plan. Receivers can’t win 1 on 1
Ben has played like a rookie today a few times, in big situations.

The offense basically reflects its QB and our QB looks scared today.

Scared.

How many points did we score in the second half of the Titans game?

If Ben is actually injured, 10 points is insurmountable.

This is not on Tomlin. This is garbage execution by the offense against a good Ravens defense. Steelers defense will keep the Ravens reasonably in check in the second half and Lamar is good for one more bad turnover. I’m just not sold offense can score enough points to make a difference.

Yup. The not great stuff we're seeing had better be his head and not the arm.

Baltimore is missing 2 starting offensive linemen.

1 might be the best at his position in the NFL.
The guys they brought in are good runnbkockers. Have to stop a couple of runs and get them to throw the football.

Clearly Ben is not leading well so far. Big hill to climb 2H. He has to put this O on his shoulders.

What exactly are they doing offensively that the extra week helped with?

They are handing our front 7 its ass.

Going right at them. There is no trickeration involved whatsoever.

...and the Ravens are missing possibly the best o-lineman in the league and another starter.

He didn’t come anywhere close to picking up that first down.
Feed is behind...
But if its the catch and run on third down pushed out of bounds near the marker.... left side.
Ref spotted ball. Looked up along the los and then bent down and moved it to give them the first.

The ravens are averaging over six yards a carry as a team. AS A TEAM.

Welcome to Wild Card weekend again guys.

Nice first half on offense.

They better put some drives together or this is headed for a blowout.

Its counter productive to brutal.

I think Steelers take the ball, put it in the end zone.....be a 3 point game in the end. Steelers win!!

I actually think a lot of this difference is indeed coaching, but some of it is the players.

ON D:

Our blitzes look telegraphed and lame. We are doing a terrible job defending the read option...no discipline. Spillane and VW are not getting sideline to sideline on the outside runs. Buggs has been very bad.

On O:

They are crowding the line on first down daring us to throw deep. We really need more misdirection because of their aggressive pursuit and we need to stretch them more. I think we may have to look to go no huddle even though the D is spent and could use a rest. We have to change the tempo.

I don't think the importance of this first drive of the second half can be overstated.

If we score 7, we have chance today.

If we get 3, its something to build on.

If we get nothing or turn it over, this game is 100% OVER.

That is how big this opening drive is.

The offense MUST produce points.

Yep, the Heyward thing was beyond fucking dumb.

Who knows what happens there, if he doesn't do that.

Heyward has looked like shit today in every possible way.
