We got in because we got lucky vs:
Detroit - easily could have lost
Chicago - easily could have lost
Seattle - easily could have lost
Both Ravens games - easily could have lost
Indy shits bed vs Jags
Raiders kick GW FG w 2 seconds
We are lucky as fuck
Wow.
So true Jizz.
Look at these 7 games.
Seattle by 3
Browns by 5
Detroit tie
Bears by 2
Ravens by 1
Titans by 6
Ravens by 3.
6-0-1 in those 7 games in which we outscored opponents by a combined 20 points.
Pretty amazing, if not unique.
6-0-1 in 7 games by a combined 20 points.
The Cowboys won 5 times this year by more than 20+ points
We were outscored on the season 398 to 343.
I do not know how to search this, but how many 9+ win teams have there been, that were outscored on the season by 55 or more points.
Like Jobu said.........
One big reason.
Big Ben.
NFL leading 6 game winning drive, became 7 on Sunday.
He has not been amazing.
But when we needed him the most in these 7 games.
He delivered.

Steelers are 8-2-1 in 1 score games, 1-5 in 2 or more score games. If you reverse the outcome of all of the 1 score game, the Steelers would be 3-14-1! If you do this for every team, the Steelers would have had the worst record in the entire league.
BR has led 7 (!!!!) game winning drives in the 4th quarter or OT out of 9 total wins! That's insane!
This past week, BR went 19-25 for 148, 1 TD in the 4th/OT after having miserable stats for Q1-3. Two years running now where the offense is absolutely horrific for most of the game only to be resurrected in the 4th quarter. BR stats in the 4th over the last 2 years are MVP caliber.

And yet the media continues to blow Jibbs like he is this amazing coach that pulls out these wins.NFL leading 6 game winning drive, became 7 on Sunday.
As does the dummy that signs his paycheck.
I love his new Covid look…only can see his eyes. Hat. Mask. He’s a true man of genius.

Tomlin’s Leadership Guides Steelers To Unlikely Playoff Spot
This is not a good team. They have a -55 point differential (Surprisingly the Raiders are even worse at -65). They really should be 6 or 7 win team. But they have two things that very few other teams have... an outstanding pass rush and a QB that has more Q4 magic than any other.

If you wear chaps a lot, the sun will bleach out the areas not covered by the chaps. JMHO.

Remember last year when people were calling this team a house of cards ready to tumble at 11-0? It's pretty much the same team. Bottom line. We either lose big or win a close one. We had the good fortune of close games going our way this year. Strangely enough, our only win of double digits (Browns in Week 17) saw Roethlisberger with just 123 yards passing.
Just like the Ravens had good fortune early in the season, but then those fortunes changed in their last 5 or 6.
It all comes down to Ben, IMO.

Like they say, don’t let a bad team hang around. We’re that bad team!
Nah let’s be positive here. Steelers came in with the single toughest strength of schedule. Completely rebuilt OL. Questions at qb and all over the offense. Known issues in middle of D. List 2 starting CB and 1 DL.
You say we’re lucky to make the playoffs but Jax/TL was due for a complete game. Colts hadn’t one there since 2014.
I’ve been saying the prototype for success this season is the bills game the prototype for failure this season is the Packers game.
They got lucky in spots but they were good enough sometimes to make their own luck too.

He couldn't handle the lap dance.
But she was a pro and left tissues so he could clean up.
when I worked for the Forest Service, we wore chaps at times since we had to ride for some distances and hall things like logs out of trails. I have seen some of the older Rangers with marks just like that on their jeans. It is more pronounced in blue jeans but it would leave a squarish patch around the crotch that would lighten faster than the rest,
I imagine there are others here with more experience wearing chaps with no pants so you might want to talk to them about that.

TJ Watt and Ben literally dragged this team to 9 wins and the playoffs.
Other guys definitely contributed, but without those two this is a 3-4 win team.
