Who would have thunk it?

I thought the Steelers NEVER picked a QB from Pittsburgh... been 40 years since the last time they passed on one...

I am not as upset with this as I thought I would be, Probably because they didn’t trade up to get him.
In their current state, I hate everything about this organization.

Best thing about this pick is it wasn't Malik Willis.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Could have been way worse, aka Mailik Willis.

Nothing wrong with reacting in the moment. Not happy either would've loved Mcduffie but oh well. Get behind the Lad now and hope he steps up.

I was positive when we were up that the Steelers were going to take Willis.

Glass half full....either Trubisky or Pickett will be traded next year....although I don't think Pickett magically becomes a 1st rounder sitting on the bench for a year.

Good thing he's a Qb and not a RB. Yeah, I'd be pissed if he turned out to be a franchise qb and we only got 15 years out of him instead of 18.

Too many hot blondes around him. Good for mojo and football, bad for legal bills which leads to poor mojo! Sigh!

I wouldn't been happy with Willis either but he has far more tools than Pickett. Pickett's release scares the crap out of me. It takes forever him to get the ball out behind this oline? It is going to be ugly.

Younger than Burrows was to start his rookie NFL season for the record.

i wish they'd gone many other ways as well but if it was to be a qb only i'm glad they went with Pickett. Willis never woulda passed the ball with our wr corp. he tucked it and ran every time his 1st, i mean only option he ever looked at, was covered

Me too. Was ready to start breaking shit and I haven't been that mad about the Steelers in probably a couple decades. Still disappointed but it could have been worse.

Roger that
Love the kid and hope the best for him and the Steelers
But I don’t see it
who knows maybe he excels at the 1-3 yard range passes we love.
