Directly linked to the hope we are seeing the end of the Tomlin era (I used some old spreadsheets from the Stats Project to calculate)
I personally fear his reign of terror continues
But
As stated previously by others here, with the draft in Pitt and it turning into a potential disaster for the franchise due to an enraged fan base……
Perhaps a trade of our genius to an absolutely stupid team is a possibility
All I want for Christmas/Kwanza is notification of his departure

Tomlin for Abdul Carter, straight up
That would be sweet, or their 1st, or worst case, a family size bag of Kettle style potato chips

Tomlin's draft capital is a thing of the past.
1. the league knows the Steelers wont be making a sacrifice
2. the league knows his ceiling is the Tomlin Line (9-8)

Yep, I’m afraid of that toothe-other-burg wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 6:06 pmTomlin's draft capital is a thing of the past.

Need a stupid team who would see a Tomlin hire as a YUUUUGE move for their franchise and to sell seats

They're not getting anything via trade. Him being gone is value enough.

Tomlin in Vegas with Geno would be amazing. He could run Jeanty 50 times and sit back and wait for Crosby to get a strip sack. The humor alone would be worth it. Pick or not.
I mean, I could see it if I squint.
They paid Carroll a shit ton of money, but it's just like Mark Davis to make a big splash and return the silver and black back to relevancy.
Wonder how long Carroll's contract is?

From 1933 to 1969 is 36 years. We're only about halfway thru the drought. So around 2046 the Steelers should be starting their 2nd dynasty. These things take time.
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

I know some people who are going to have to start looking into cryogenics.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 9:05 pmFrom 1933 to 1969 is 36 years. We're only about halfway thru the drought. So around 2046 the Steelers should be starting their 2nd dynasty. These things take time.![]()

I think the fans booing scares him, especially with the draft coming up in Pittsburgh. He wants it to be the crowning achievement of his regime. I think he's the sort of guy who would stay awake at night scared shitless of being booed as he takes the stage on draft night.swissvale72 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 8:55 pmReal question is, why would anyone e with half a brain think that R2 is going to be swayed by media, fan outcry etc at games, or ass hats posting on a message board
You have to remember he broke precedence and canned Canada only when fans at games started booing and loudly.
Tomlin's job security is obviously next level, but it's just about the *only* card fans actually have.
