There's probably a pretty funny story there honestly but he's too gutless to just be frank about it. It could just be he's a race baiting fuck with deep insecurities in general who hated the free pass given to the white QB while he was lambasted by Steelers fans and basically cast off the team after. The Steelers have a well run by risk averse system that gives coach/GM authority and consistently puts them in the top 5-15 teams each year with the occasional deep run (when they have a QB). You don't have to like it. But that's what it is. And of course he was hired to follow that system.

McCarthy definitely played the hits today - 3/4 defense, cupboard full, bring back Rodgers etc.
