The Patriots record outside their division with Brady is basically the same as it is in division, a winning percentage around .780.

So essentially, it doesn't matter. The Steelers and whoever else are the same chumps to them as the Dolphins, Bills, and Jets are.

Hey but we beat them this year......feels so good as I look forward to watching them in their 8th straight AFCCG.

Would you rather have lost to them again?

Sunday in KC could be the start of a changing of the guard. We'll see.

Football dynasties find a way to rise above the horde.

Lombardi had imposed his will on the Packers and then the league, crafting them into a dynasty, he then imprinted his will on history: SBs 1 & 2. Mr. Hunt's Chiefs represented the AFC in the first SB, the AFC was then perceived as the junior varsity. After Namath's stunning win in SB 3 parity was still denied, the Chiefs remedied that in SB 4.

The Dolphins weren't a true dynasty, repeating makes you damn good, even great for a period, not necessarily a dynasty. The Steeler dynasty was built on several strengths, in addition to overall superior talent and Noll's brilliance, Noll got a leg up on the rest of the league by drafting from Mr. Nunn's lists, black men restricted from careers in football because of skin color; and steroids, then not banned. Noll, like Lombardi was color blind. The league caught up.

The 49er dynasty was built by a cerebral coach who got the jump on the rest of the league by designing a cerebral offense, executed by superior talent, led by three gifted players. The league caught up.

The Patriot dynasty rose above the league with analytics, a few gifted players, one being a constant, and a driven coach who emulates Lombardi. An unholy relationship with the commissioner and cheating didn't hurt. The league caught up. Today that dynasty dies.

The Chiefs have been a stable franchise, a league mainstay, their ownership league royalty. They've broken through before, with superior talent, Lenny being the key. They might now again be on the cusp, logic dictates that Fat Andy will have a brilliant game plan and Mahomes will attack NE, exposing them. Possible we'll see the beginning of a run, NE humbled. I have an image of Eric Berry with a Donnie Shell like safety blitz delivering justice.

At 30,000 ft I was reading a piece by a west coast writer that included a list of coaches that won at least one championship and never had a losing season. Lombardi and Tomlin were on that list. Been a long time since I asked for a barf bag.

Go Chiefs

I hope you're right that the Pats dynasty is dying, and that it starts today. I think I need to see the Pats actually have a losing season or at least not make the damn AFCCG for once to believe it.

Yeah, I will never understand that attitude.

He's 15-11 without Ben.
That's a .577 win percentage.
That would be about 9.23 wins per season.

And out of playoffs every year. Perfect. Just like it is now... ;)
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

When they won the toss in OT, I knew it was over.

Coin toss determined winner. Stupid KC D, dropped too many, Edelman free. Donald and Suh can get to Brady, might take time, they are violent men. NE will take away running game, Goff will have to beat them. NE has 2 weeks to work on holding w/o flags.
