That was a Colbert thing. They need to redo many of their scouts due to this.Ice wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 2:47 pmAs long as he went to North Catholic and has ties to the Detroit Lions... or were those just Colbert things?rooneytunes wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 2:27 pmI'm sure next official offensive coordinator will be the cousin of the Heyward brothers and is also watts uncle and coached NHALS daughters volleyball team

I'd take a few folks off the Lions' current staff, though.jebrick wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 2:50 pmThat was a Colbert thing. Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Faulkner is only temporary. They won't have time until the summer to start interviewing Tomlin's college roommates.Steelperch wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 2:08 pmThis is only a good thing if they go outside the organization and do an all encompassing search for the next hotshot young OC, then admit their mistake on Pickett and move off him ASAP. If Rooney allows Tomlin to promote Sullivan or Faulkner these guys deserve the mediocrity they get.

This will be the hill Tomlin dies on
He should have been ditched last year and Tomlin is at full fault
I Hope this means, Art has an “uncomfortable” conversation today about looking for a TV gig
The amount of Steeler bashing has reached very high levels and perhaps he decides to move the ball

Cook and joe are discussing on the fan 93.7 that this moment could be the event to move on from Tomlin
He could extend Mike or perhaps ask him to resign
Keep in mind he didn’t get an extension last yr

I think there are probably bigger names out there for HC but I wouldn’t hate taking a shot on Lefty as HC particularly given he spent good time with Arians and he certainly wants to coach

Why won’t Coach Mike fire himself as well, and give the job to a deserving minority candidate to show inclusiveness and equity.
He’s probably sitting on a few hundred million in the bank for fucks sake.

Yep big ups to them. They had enough. And one thing we know; do not fuck with a players opportunity to get a fat contract. Start messing with their $$$ and they will revolt.Steeldrama wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 3:18 pmMore accurately it was DJ and Najee who finally accomplished something

If the extend Mike, I think that is Rooney showing he (Rooney) was the reason they kept Canada. If Tomlin resigns at the end of the year, I think it shows that Tomlin was the reason we kept Canada. If Tomlin leaves at the end of next year, I think it shows that Rooney doesn't want to fire people under contract until the contract is up.BethlehemSteel wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 3:16 pmCook and joe are discussing on the fan 93.7 that this moment could be the event to move on from Tomlin

Canada does not get fired today if Kenny hits the wide open Dionte Johnson for the game winning TD. In fact people would be talking about how Canada’s offense gashed the leagues best D on the ground. Kenny did it! Kenny did it!!!Steeldrama wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 3:18 pmMore accurately it was DJ and Najee who finally accomplished something

Tomlin is so popular he’s going to get a NFL studio job and make a ton of $$$. He’s gotta be close to calling it. And really with Kenny the writing might be on the wall. He’s going to want to tell his grandkids that he NHALS. If Kenny and this merry band of assholes we have at QB will threaten that, I think he will retire (from coaching).jewelsongs wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 3:27 pmIf the extend Mike, I think that is Rooney showing he (Rooney) was the reason they kept Canada. Sullivan sure has done wonders for Kenny. I totally get why he’s been promoted.
Why does Pat Meyer still have a job?

Pass protection is shit in large part due to the fact that nobody fears the passing game. Why not tee off every down when you know it’s a run or short pass. Teams stack the box and attack the Steelers offense knowing there is no threat of a pass to the middle of the field and the QB can’t and won’t beat them deep.Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 3:31 pmSullivan sure has done wonders for Kenny. Dulac says "Rooney" not Tomlin. Read anything into that?
Steelers president Art Rooney II has fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada, per team sources.
Std thinks Tomlin is immune to being “retired”
Stay tuned corn boy
