Re: Ok this Rodgers BS
After watching Milroe highlights on youtube, Tomlin is probably creaming himself cause they are all long runs and sideline bombs, fits our offense perfectly acutally.

Another thing to watch, is what happens if Sanders drops to 21, and all of a sudden you have Sanders, Dart and Milroe all available, this in my opinion would scream trade down and get more picks, there just aren't that many QB needy teams right now.
As far as Shedeur, I know a lot of people are a strong 'No", but seems like drafting a QB who falls 10-15 spots has a significantly better success rate than reaching for a guy or even trading up. Still a total crapshoot, but a lot better than being set on drafting the "best" QB left when you pick. Like Pickett probably wasn't an R1 projection if not for the Steelers - "best" QB available but in reality way overdrafted. Could have fallen to the 3rd or even later.
Shedeur and Aaron Rodgers. Make it so - we MUST be entertained!!!!

Like I said, would love to see an analysis of taking the guy who's falling vs. the guy rising up boards. I think the way group think tends to victimize even the professionals that you have inherently more value in the guy that's falling vs. rising. And PIT has done that with good success at WR. Maybe the one rule being don't draft the guy falling because of attitude/work ethic concerns (which maybe takes Shedeur out of the equation).StillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 1:42 amAnother thing to watch, is what happens if Sanders drops to 21, and all of a sudden you have Sanders, Dart and Milroe all available, this in my opinion would scream trade down and get more picks, there just aren't that many QB needy teams right now.

There are QB needy teams but not ones that would take a 3rd round QB in the 1st except the team with a proven track record of doing so..Kodiak wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 1:57 amLike I said, would love to see an analysis of taking the guy who's falling vs. the guy rising up boards. I think the Steelers either do not have the scouting or the imagination to trade down a lot.

Yes and as I mentioned, few times admitted having 1st round grades on him.
I am not seeing those same reports about Milroe.
Coach is catching strays that he's the one who wants Rodgers and therefore responsible for whatever the hell is going on.

Yeah the knives are out, they are butter knives, but still.
I recall that story about Najee asking Coach T for some help and that jagoff telling him that he'll figure it out, and so forth.
It's ok to admit you don't know something, even for someone as prestigious and superior as Coach Mike Tomlin.

Hahahhahahahah Fraudlin. Took this org right down the drain. Coached up no one. Complete bare coaching tree after 18 seasons. I hope that Najee video is the tip of the iceberg and that more and more media pundits get their collective head out of their asses and see him for what he is. A fucking FRAUD. We need more players chirping in the media.
Please oh please let there be some sort of sex scandal that comes out with that girl and Jibbs. Something embarrassing where he ends up stepping down.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 81 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
Did he have to give Kia that t-shirt pagoda down the strip because he got some, if you will, and so forth?

Sounds like Wilson is going to sign with the Giants meaning the Steelers will look like fools if Rodgers retires.

I don't know if Rodgers retiring actually makes them look like bigger fools than signing him...

Article the other day about Heyward saying he's not recruiting Rodgers. Article basically goes on to say that the Steelers are mediocre and have been for a long time, but some in the organization still view themselves as some sort of gold standard organization when reality is "Steelers" isn't the selling point for FAs they think it is.

The Steelers are obviously going to get their QB in the draft and unlike when Trubisky mentored Kenny (Jesus H. Christ imagine having Mitch Trubisky as your QB mentor) Mason will mentor either Milroe or Dart.
Mason, unlike Trubisky, can actually win some games while one of the kids is learning.

Cowher made a good point - if Rodgers is waffling and considering retirement, do you really WANT that guy as your starting QB?
I mean, a QB mailing it in is the perfect fit for a HC mailing it in, but other than that....

This is worse than when they settled on the immobile Kent Graham as a starter.

Dulac reporting Rodgers in Pittsburgh today?
