"Long-time" NFL coach spreading word - wants change of scenery

Post by CKSteeler » Fri Nov 28, 2025 6:04 pm

https://thespun.com/nfl/report-longtime ... of-scenery

“Meanwhile, there’s is a longtime NFL head coach out there who is considering wanting a change of scenery & has told others of these thoughts. If he acts on those lingering feelings, his departure would clearly add to the list of vacancies.”

"Insider" is Josina Anderson who I am unfamiliar with. The coach is unnamed, but people naturally think it's Tomlin. Let us pray.

Not Reid, he's having too much fun competing for SBs.

Could be John Harbaugh? Maybe realizes he's stuck with Lamar and can't win a SB with Lamar.

My money is on Harbaugh. If it's Tomlin, it's only because he knows he can't build a roster or hire staff and is hoping to salvage his legacy by lucking into another post-Cowher type of situation.

Are a certain T-shirt shop’s revenues down?

it's not tomlin
he is happy and fine where he is at
and part of tomlins HOF narrative is - same team long time

its most likely harbaugh - without his freakish movement skills lamar is an average qb prone to boneheaded plays in big spots. you can see harbaugh sinking on the sideline ... exasperated and about to blow a gasket

Would O'Connell really be considered "long tentured?" I wouldn't consider him to be so.

Is it Marty Schottenheimer? Ted Marchibroda?

Don’t think Josina’s a credible source but who knows maybe she got the scoop while buying $50 T-shirts from Tomlin’s wife.

Otherwise, I agree Johnny Harbs having a rough year and the Lamar window appears to be closing.

Don’t discount Shanny out in SF

Yet another brutal injury year and more Aiyuk chaos

Could be all 3

Harbs fanbase is kind of worn thin with him as we
Are with Tomlin

To be fair, Billick was a supposed offensive guru whose offenses were godawful so it was fair to question just what value he was adding.

But yea, Ravens may shitcan Harbaugh if he doesn't go on a playoff run this year. Let alone if he fails to even make it.
